We simply can't stop binging on 'The Haunting of Bly Manor'. The horror anthology series wows and scares equally just as it amazes one with its mind-blowing storytelling. Not to mention the top-notch performances of the cast that keeps you undeniably glued. 

'The Haunting of Bly Manor', the second part of the horror anthology series by Mike Flanagan, amped up the stakes. The first part of the anthology series, Netflix's 'The Haunting of Hill House', was an immediate hit among horror fans so there was a lot to expect from 'Bly Manor'. 

Here's everything we know so far about the upcoming third season of 'The Haunting of Bly Manor'. 

Release date

'The Haunting of Bly Manor' is not officially renewed by Netflix yet. So the release dates are difficult to predict. MEA WorldWide (MEAWW) will update this article when it is. 

Plot

So far, both installments of 'The Haunting' series by Flanagan are based on classic literature works. 'The Haunting of Hill House' is loosely based on the 1959 novel of the same name by Shirley Jackson, whereas the second season 'Bly Manor' is also loosely based on Henry James's 1898 novella 'The Turn of the Screw'. Therefore, it is likely that the third season, the third part of 'The Haunting' franchise might also be based on a book. 

EP Trevor Macy had, in an interview, discussed basing the franchise on literary works. "The process is the same, in that it's a literary remix. You want to update the story, you want to find whatever fertile ground for elevating the character that you can in the source material, but we obviously took some liberties in updating it with a more modern setting."  

Cast

An official announcement for the cast of Season 3 of the franchise is not announced yet. But 'The Haunting of Hill House' and 'The Haunting of Bly Manor' share a lot of the same cast with a few additions here and there. So it is likely that the cast members might return as new characters. Victoria Pedretti, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Amelia Eve, T'Nia Miller, Rahul Kohli, Tahirah Sharif, Amelie Bea Smith, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel and Carla Gugino may possibly return to the cast of Season 3 of 'The Haunting' franchise. 

Creators

'The Haunting' franchise is created by Flanagan. The filmmaker is best known for his horror projects, all of which he directed, wrote, and edited. His best-known work includes 'Absentia', 'Oculus', 'Hush', 'Before I Wake', 'Ouija: Origin of Evil', 'Gerald's Game', and 'Doctor Sleep'. 

Trailers

There is no trailer for Season 3 yet as the project is still to be announced. MEAWW will update this article when it is released. 

Where to watch

When the third part comes, you will be able to stream it on Netflix. But that's a long time away. Meanwhile, all episodes of 'The Haunting of Bly Manor' and 'The Haunting of Hill House' are currently streaming on Netflix.
