'The Handmaid's Tale' Season 4 Full Cast List: Meet Elisabeth Moss, Joseph Fiennes and others from dystopian drama

‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ is back to captivate the minds of the viewers with another thrilling season. Season 4 of the highly popular show will see June (Elisabeth Moss) striking back against Gilead as a fierce rebel leader. However, the risks she takes during her journey will bring a lot of unexpected challenges.

Her quest for justice and revenge threatens to consume her and destroy her most cherished relationships.

All three seasons of the show have been really successful and makers will be hoping for the same kind of reaction from the upcoming season as well.
With Elisabeth Moss and Joseph Fiennes returning for the show, the fourth season is expected to an epic journey. Let’s take a look at the cast of the show.

Elisabeth Moss as June Osborne

Born on July 24, 1982, Elisabeth Singleton Moss studied Ballet at the School of American Ballet, after which she studied at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Moss continued to study dance throughout her teenage years but began obtaining acting roles as well. The actress made her television debut in 1990 with the TV series ‘Lucky Chances’. Meanwhile, in 1991, she made her feature film debut with ‘Suburban Commando’.



 

She worked on a lot of projects during the 90s and early 2000s. Her moment of glory came in 2007 when she was cast in the hit TV series ‘Mad Men’. Moss received 6 Primetime Emmy nominations for her acting skills on the show. However, she gained wider prominence with the show ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ and made her earn her first Emmy. The actress won the Best Actress in a Drama Series accolade at the Primetime Emmys for two consecutive years.

She was recently seen in the movie ‘The Invisible Man’ and garnered a lot of praise. The movie turned out to be a huge success for her and was one of the best-reviewed movies of 2020.

Joseph Fiennes as Commander Fred Waterford

Fiennes is an accomplished English actor who made a name for himself by starting his career as a stage actor. Fiennes' first professional stage appearance was in the West End in ‘The Woman in Black’, followed by ‘A Month in the Country’ opposite Helen Mirren. He made his television debut as Willy in ‘The Vacillations of Poppy Carew’. In 1998, Fiennes appeared in two films that were nominated at the Academy Awards: he played Robert Dudley opposite Cate Blanchett in ‘Elizabeth’ and he portrayed William Shakespeare opposite Gwyneth Paltrow in ‘Shakespeare in Love’.

He was nominated in the Best Actor category for his role in ‘Shakespeare in Love’ at the 1999 BAFTAs.

Fiennes also portrayed the character of Monsignor Timothy Howard in the second season of the TV series ‘American Horror Story’. Since 2017, he has been a main cast member of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ and was also nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. 

Alexis Bledel as Emily Malek

Bledel was a model before transitioning into the field of acting. Bledel has graced the cover of numerous fashion magazines, including Teen Vogue, Glamour, Vanity Fair, Lucky, Elle Girl, Parade, Nylon, and Seventeen. She made her television debut with the show ‘Gilmore Girls’ in 2000.  The show went on for seven seasons and made her one of the most accomplished actresses in a very short period of time. Bledel won the Best Performance in a TV Drama Series – Leading Young Actress award at the Young Artist Awards in 2001.

In addition to her Guest Actress Emmy win in 2017 for ‘The Handmaid's Tale’, she has also been nominated for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2018 and was again nominated in the Guest Actress category in 2020 for her work on that show.

Yvonne Strahovski as Serena Joy Waterford

The Australian-born actress has been one of the prominent names in the entertainment industry and has been working on various projects since 2004. Strahovski began acting lessons at age 12 and performed during her schooling years. Her first television role came in the series ‘Double the Fist’ in 2004. Three years later, she would go on to appear on the TV show ‘Chuck’ for five seasons and garnered a lot of success.



 

The actress was nominated in the Favorite Actress category at TV Guide Awards for ‘Chuck’ and won the accolade.

Since 2017, she has starred as Serena Joy Waterford in the acclaimed drama series ‘The Handmaid's Tale’. For her performance, Strahovski earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2018.

McKenna Grace as Mrs. Keyes

One of the most-brightest young talents in the entertainment industry, Grace has achieved some really great things in a very short period of time. She began acting professionally at the age of six, with her earliest roles including Jasmine Bernstein in the Disney XD show ‘Crash & Bernstein’. Grace played a lead role in the movie ‘Gifted’ was released on June 24, 2016. The child actress was nominated for the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer.



 

‘I, Tonya’, ‘Amityville: The Awakening’, ‘Captain Marvel’, ‘Annabelle Comes Home’ and ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ are some of the high-end projects she has featured on.

Excited about ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’? Season 4 of the highly popular show will be premiering exclusively on Hulu on Wednesday, April 28.
