'The Handmaid's Tale' Season 4 is not too far away and we know that because the official social media handles of Hulu released a teaser of the new season along with the release date of the show. Interestingly, the show premieres the same month as the first season, April and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for June Osborne aka Offred aka Offjoseph (Elizabeth Moss).

At the end of Season 3 of the show, June had successfully sent not just her daughter Holly, but also a plane full of young women and babies to Canada where they were welcomed as refugees. Of course, June did not cross the border because her elder daughter Hannah is still in Gilead and that is not a place where she wants Hannah to be.

'The Handmaid's Tale' Season 4: What does Margaret Atwood's book 'The Testaments' hint about show's future?

What spoilers did the teaser reveal?

In fact, June was shot at the end of the season leaving us with a lot of questions regarding where she is headed from here. Especially if her allies will continue to remain her allies in the new season. For instance, what happens to Gilead in the absence of Commander Fred Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) who has been arrested and held in Canada after his actions against human rights were revealed by his wife Serene (Yvonne Strahovski) and how will it affect Commander Joseph Lawrence's (Brad Whitford) position within Gilead?

Beyond everything is Aunt Lydia who would be waiting for June to be captured as one of the elders of Gilead. After reading Margaret Atwood's 'The Testaments', we understand Aunt Lydia's perspective but continue to disagree with it. So the teaser answers or hints at them. We know that June is alive and well, and is ready to join the resistance in a more active role unlike before. We will see Commander Nick Blaine (Max Minghella) return this season for what looks like a passionate reunion with June. That kiss between the two with the Resistance in the background hints at Nick's role being a lot more important this season.

Then there is the scene of June attempting to squeeze the life out of Aunt Lydia as well. If the show makers plan a spin-off with 'The Testaments', they would have to ensure that Aunt Lydia stays alive so while the Aunt may not die, she will see June's hatred for her from close quarters.

We also see a young girl appear for a split second, who is dressed in pink and may very well be June's daughter. The daughter continues to keep June tied to Gilead and we wonder what awaits her in the show.

When will 'The Handmaid's Tale' Season 4 release?

'The Handmaid's Tale' Season 4 will premiere on April 28 and is expected to follow the same pattern as Season 3 when the first three episodes premiered followed by a new episode every week. Last season's teaser had also hinted at resistance, but the pace of the season was slower with a hint of resistance that we saw towards the end. However, this season looks promising in terms of the fight that June and others belonging to the Resistance put up.
