'The Good Place' Season 4 Episode 7: Brent falling off the wagon slowed down the experiment, but will Chidi's ethical dilemma derail it?

The team, we are sure, will continue to inspire the four humans to do better and be better in the six more months to come, but it seems like we won't get to see much of that in the show

After rescuing Janet (D'Arcy Carden), the experiment at the new neighborhood has been doing pretty good, and in the previously aired Season 4 Episode 6 of 'The Good Place' we saw that everyone has been making steady progress.

While Brent (Benjamin Koldyke) still continues to exhibit chauvinistic tendencies, he has become slightly open to criticism and is a teeny bit closer to being a decent human being.

Meanwhile, John (Brandon Scott Jones) has been making quite an improvement when it comes to curbing his gossiping habits.

It seems like Tahani's (Jameela Jameel) words of advice seem to have an effect on him, and yet he needs to be given incentives to continue the good behavior, but we will take that as a win anyway.

Chidi (William Jackson Harper) continues to be the moral compass at the new neighborhood and is helping Simone (Kirby Howell-Baptiste) in check.

The latter, too, has been behaving like the great human being that she is when she was on Earth, after being reminded by Chidi that not being a d**k really doesn't cost anything.

We also saw that Brent took a few extra steps backward by writing a racist, misogynistic, and narcissistic book and refusing to take accountability for his bad behavior.

In fact, he went on to lash out at everyone and claimed that he was being falsely attacked for no good reason. However, as soon as it was temporarily sorted, Team Humans went right back to figuring out ways to improve his points.

As Michael (Ted Danson) points out to the Bad Janet in the previous episode, it is the quality of wanting to do better that makes humans worthy of saving.

The team, we are sure, will continue to inspire the four humans to do better and be better in the six more months to come, but it seems like we won't get to see much of that in the show.

From the synopsis of the upcoming Season 4 Episode 7 of the NBC series, the experiment is almost over. The upcoming episode also promises to feature a quintessential Chidi dilemma that could potentially derail the experiment.

We are excited to see how Chidi is going to tackle that when 'The Good Place' returns to NBC with Season 4 Episode 7 titled 'Help Is Other People' on Thursday, November 7.
