'The Good Place' Season 4 Episode 13 Preview: All good things come to an end and it's not always smooth

After four seasons of ethics, philosophy, excellent puns and incredible humor, 'The Good Place' is drawing to a close. After having fixed the system of judgment in the afterlife for the Bad Place and even the surprise problems of the actual Good Place, Team Cockroach has earned a well deserved eternal rest. So what could possibly be next?
Team Cockroach has done it. They've earned their eternal reward, they've fixed everything that needs fixing and they've reached heaven with their souls and memories intact, in the company of the people they love. 'The Good Place' always has a complication up its sleeve and with the released promo, it appears that something is warped in heaven, and Eleanor's (Kristen Bell) memories of Michael's (Ted Danson) Good Place are manifesting themselves in the tenuous reality of the afterlife. Check out the promo below:
Something's going on, though it's hard to say what. What final problem do Eleanor and Michael need to solve, given the scale of everything they've solved already? Is reality unraveling before their very eyes in the wake of the decisions made last episode with the door that ends existence? Is something deeper going on here?
Whatever the problem is, Team Cockroach has a double-sized, hour-long episode for the finale. The synopsis for the episode reads, "Various conversations occur, between various groups of people." Whatever is happening up in the Good Place apparently garners much discussion, including a visit from the demons of the Bad Place.
With the episode's title reading 'Whenever You're Ready,' many fans have already theorized that we will see a time past the endless perfection of the Good Place, to when Eleanor, Chidi (William Jackson Harper), Jason (Manny Jacinto) and Tahani (Jameela Jamil) are ready to go through that one, final door. One way or another, all things Good Place are coming to an end.
'The Good Place' airs January 30, at 8:30 pm ET, on NBC.
