'The Good Doctor' Season 4: Meet Freddie Highmore, Antonia Thomas and rest of the cast of ABC medical drama
Dr Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) is a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, who continues to use his extraordinary medical gifts at St Bonaventure Hospital's surgical unit. In the upcoming Season 4 of the ABC show, as his friendships deepen, Shaun tackles the world of dating for the first time and continues to work harder than he ever has before, navigating his environment to prove to his colleagues that his talents as a surgeon will save lives.
'The Good Doctor' returns to its usual primetime slot on Monday, November 2, 2020, at 10 pm. But before that, meet the cast.
Freddie Highmore as Dr Shaun Murphy
As Dr Murphy, Highmore stars as an autistic surgical resident. He also serves on the series as director, writer and producer. Freddie Highmore established himself as a talent in the film world as a young child. Previously Empire Award’s Most Promising Newcomer, Highmore is a double SAG nominee and twice winner of the Film Critics’ award for the world’s Best Young Actor. Having shot 'Two Brothers' directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud, 'Women Talking Dirty' with Helena Bonham Carter and 'Five Children and It' with Kenneth Branagh, Highmore came to prominence as Peter in the Oscar-nominated 'Finding Neverland'.
Antonia Thomas as Dr Claire Brown
As Dr Claire Brown, Thomas plays the role of a surgical resident who forms a close friendship with Shaun. Claire is known for her empathy and emotional maturity and is usually very patient and understanding when communicating with Shaun. The actress is best known for her roles as Alisha Daniels in the E4 'Misfits', Evie in the Channel 4/ Netflix comedy series 'Lovesick'. Thomas has also appeared in BBC America hit drama 'The Musketeers'. She will next be seen in the much-anticipated BBC/Amazon drama anthology 'Small Axe' which comprises five original films by Academy Award, BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning filmmaker Steve McQueen.
Hill Harper as Dr Marcus Andrews
Hill Harper is an award-winning actor, bestselling author and philanthropist. He is the author of four New York Times bestsellers and has earned seven NAACP Image Awards for his writing and acting. He is known for his work on 'CSI: NY', HLN's 'How It Really Happened with Hill Harper' and the award-winning series 'Homeland'.
Richard Schiff as Dr Aaron Glassman
Dr Glassman is the President of the San Jose St Bonaventure Hospital and former attending neurosurgeon, who has been a mentor and good friend of Shaun since he was 14. The actor was most recently, also seen in HBO's 'Ballers' playing Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's very successful and demanding boss, Brett Anderson. In addition, he had a recurring role on STARZ's 'Counterpart'. He is best known for playing Toby Ziegler on 'The West Wing', a role for which he received an Emmy Award. Schiff made his directorial debut with 'The West Wing', directing an episode titled 'Talking Points'.
