'The Golden Bachelor': Ellen Goltzer tries to woo Gerry Turner with her 'talent' of teaching sex ed to middle school children
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The whole world is embracing Ellen Goltzer. At the 'The Golden Bachelor' premiere, the endearing 71-year-old introduced herself to the audience and disclosed that she and her closest friend, Roberta Zaktzer, have long been fans of Bachelor Nation.
Ellen talked candidly last week on the show about her closest friend's cancer fight. She also talks candidly about her "talent" in the forthcoming episode's preview, which she believes would win Gerry Turner over.
According to the ABC preview, numerous women will aim to captivate Gerry while enjoying some fun. Additionally, a former Bachelorette will be taking the lead at the event!

Gerry is about to have a crazy third week! First up is a group date in which all 12 remaining ladies perform for Gerry, host Jesse Palmer, and special guest, former Bachelorette and 'Dancing with the Stars' Mirrorball champion Kaitlyn Bristowe, in a talent performance like no other.
As the women took the stage one after the other to impress Gerry, Ellen revealed her talent is, "teaching sex ed to middle school students."
Ellen taught for several years in New York before moving to Florida. It indicates that she was employed at Great Neck Middle School. She has resided in Oceanside, New York, as well as Melville, New York.
Ellen Goltzer goes on 'fairytale' date with 'The Golden Bachelor' Gerry Turner
For one lucky Golden Bachelor participant, everything is coming up roses.
In a sneak preview from the show's next October 12 episode, Gerry selects Ellen from the remaining 13 competitors to have a "very special date night" that will contain the works—including a dress appropriate for a fantastic evening created by fashion designer Michael Costello.
Ellen expressed excitement about the romantic one-on-one time, saying, "I'm like freaking out," as she laughed during a confessional. "He picked me!"
While there were many eye-catching gowns to pick from, Ellen and Michael opted for a sleeveless, bright pink full-length gown with a thigh-high split and prominent bow on the hip.
Michael complimented Ellen, saying, "This dress looks like it was made for you. This is the one."
The ensemble was the icing on the cake for the Florida native on an already amazing night. "This is going to be an amazing fairytale," the 71-year-old said ahead of the evening in a confessional.
Gerry couldn't agree more, as seen by his heartfelt response to meeting his date. "You look beautiful," he says as they embrace in a hug, confessing that she just looked "stunning."
Ellen Goltzer lost her best friend to cancer days before 'The Golden Bachelor' premiere
In her introductory video, Ellen stated that her best friend, Roberta, encouraged her to apply for 'The Golden Bachelor'.
"My friend Roberta and I have been best friends for 60 years. She has cancer, and it’s been difficult," Ellen explained.
She added, "Being a big fan of Bachelor/Bachelorette brings us together, so we collectively made this decision that you have to do this."
At the end of the premiere, 'The Golden Bachelor' announced that Roberta had passed away on September 10, just weeks before Ellen's debut. Ellen shared on Instagram, "True friendship is forever," and Roberta will be honored throughout the season.
'The Golden Bachelor's Ellen Goltzer is mother of two sons
Ellen is the mother of two sons. Before the premiere of 'The Golden Bachelor,' Ellen shared a snapshot of her sons. "My handsome boys hoping their Mom doesn’t embarrass them. No promises but I will try to behave myself. LOL," she said on Instagram.
Ellen now resides in Delray Beach, Florida. Ellen's ABC profile states that she "wears her heart on her sleeve." She is described as "compassionate, intelligent, and has a great sense of humor."
Ellen, like Gerry, has gotten into the pickleball obsession. "I really like the fact that Gerry likes pickleball, so I’m not going to let this time pass me by. No way. He could be the one." She also enjoys golf and bocce ball.
In her introduction, Ellen said, "Gerry is very handsome. He’s got a lot of spunk." Gerry was visibly thrilled after meeting Ellen for the first time. He described her as a "lovely woman."
