LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: DCEU superhero film 'The Flash' has already been a subject of massive interest in recent times. With an A-list star cast, the inclusion of the already popular 'The Flashpoint Paradox' plot, interesting cameos, and even the controversies surrounding Ezra Miller have the audiences hooked on the potential of the film that was years in the making.

The controversies and the presence of popular names in the star cast were enough to ignite attention from the audiences but currently, it has been revealed that Warner Bros is trying to keep the ending under wraps and do not plan on showing it to the screening audiences until the movie hits theatres. The early reviews are expected to yield positive results for the film's final release in theatres.

What could be the reason behind secrecy?

The idea behind holding multiple early screenings is mostly associated with gaining feedback from the audience to ensure that reasonable changes can be made before the final product is released in theatres. With James Gunn being appointed as the Co-CEO of DC Studios, there are rumors that with the release of 'The Flash', the entire DC universe will be rebooted. This leaves an opportunity to create a new timeline of movies and include new actors for the already popular roles. There is a possibility that Warner Bros is not willing to take enough heat from the audiences as of yet for killing the 'Snyderverse' created by Zack Snyder because they have already been subjected to enough challenges with Miller's controversies pertaining to his erratic behavior.

The secret climax is more concerning than Miller's legal problems

As reported by Daily Mail, the studio is more concerned about the secret climax being leaked instead of Miller's problematic behavior in the past. The film has recently been subjected to numerous spoiler releases since the launch of the trailer and every time director Andy Muschietti was questioned about the film.

As fans are already aware that Michael Keaton is set to return as Batman and Ben Affleck will also reprise his role, it is important to keep crucial details of the film under wraps. With hype being created around the secret ending, the studio is expecting a good return on investment on the $220 million required for making the film.

All the versions of 'The Flash' that have been shown in screenings at different comic-cons had the ending deleted. While on some occasions, the studio has chosen to blur the key elements of the ending which has successfully managed to keep the audiences in the dark about whether or not the rumors are true. However, sources say that 'The Flash' may be warranted a sequel if it lives up to the financial expectations of the studio because a follow-up script is already at an early development stage. The audience reactions to the film have been positive from the early screenings, amounting to almost 400 or more positive word of mouth. The film will release in theatres on June 16, 2023.
