LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: One of the most popular shows on Fox News 'The Five' has come under attack by netizens. The news show, which has a weekday run, was slammed for its Friday, September 29, episode which seemingly did not report on any important subjects.

Netizens flocked to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to call out the show and the channel for not prioritizing significant topics and instead focusing on attacking Democrats and liberals.

'The Five' reports on pig attack instead of government shutdown

In its last episode for the week, the talk show was hosted by regulars Jesse Watters, Greg Gutfeld, Judge Jeanine Pirro, and guest host Shannon Bream along with the designated Democrat in the rotating seat Harold Ford Jr.

For the duration of the half-hour-long show, which is considered one of the most viewed not only on the channel but on cable TV, the hosts did not pick up any segments on major topics that have been making rounds in every source of news.

A netizen posted screenshots of the segments they did instead, presenting what the show considered relevant news.

The screenshots showed reports on a pig attack, John Fetterman's dress code discourse, Elon Musk's updates from the border and an influencer getting charged for live streaming the riots of Philadelphia.

The X user's post pointed out that while the show had done these segments, they had ignored subjects like California Sen. Dianne Feinstein's death, flash flooding of New York City, and the possibility of a government shut down.

Internet trolls Fox News channel

Many came in to criticize the show and the network for the news pieces they promote on a daily basis.

"Fox News is such a waste. How ignorant and stupid are their viewers?" a user said. Another one wrote, "Fox Nooz - Useless for actual news. Effective as propaganda arm of the Murdoch global "Making the world safe for billionaire-controlled authoritarianism." Pathetic."

"You are giving them too much credit, It is not a news channel," a user said reacting to the call-out. Another one wrote, "We’re f****d. I don’t see how we make it out of this."

Some users were also being quite sarcastic about Fox News' trend in reporting news as one said, "You can't expect a news network to actually tell its audience the news." A user also commented, "Glad to see Fox is covering the stories that matter..."
