'The Family Chantel': Winter doubts Chantel's concern, wonders if she is 'tired of having a fat sister'
Chantel and Winter Everett have had their ups and downs and in the latest episode (October 19), seemed to have a fallout. Winter decided to open up about her weight loss surgery while she sat in the car with her siblings, River and Chantel. Winter revealed she had lost 50lbs, but added she wanted to lose more.
Ever since she and her boyfriend of six years, Jah went their separate ways, she has been trying hard to focus on her life. However, things have not been going as she planned. After a lot of thinking, Winter decided it would be best if she sought consultation with regards to weight loss surgery. However, she was worried about the finances as her insurance was not going to cover the surgery. Winter admitted that there were a lot of options out there and she wanted to explore them all before making a decision. Hearing this, Chantel hinted she would be ready to help her out by going on a diet or heading to the gym.
Speaking to the camera, Winter admitted that she was confused about Chantel's concern. She wondered if her sister really wanted her to get healthy or was she "tired of having a fat sister". While the conversation about weight loss surgery ended, Winter and Chantel's differences didn't.
The two decided to come together for a Christmas family photos. Winter was not too happy about it as she had stopped celebrating Christmas. Despite everyone being ready, Winter hinted she did not want to be part of the picture. Chantel did not like the way Winter was behaving and decided to call her out.
However, Chantel thought Jah had a lot of influence on Winter and that's why she had been behaving in that manner. Winter did not appreciate Chantel talking to her rudely and admitted it was not the first time something like this had happened. Winter decided to stand up for herself as she lashed out at Chantel for treating her like a "doormat".
River too did not appreciate his sister fighting. However, he thought Chantel was wrong for calling Winter out for no reason. The episode ended with Chantel walking out of the room, but is her relationship with Chantel already ruined?
'The Family Chantel' airs on Mondays at 9 pm ET on TLC.
