'The Family Chantel': Nicole's mother calls Alejandro a 'dishwasher boy' as she throws him out of her house
Nicole Jimeno and Alejandro have been dating for a couple of months, and things seem to be going good for the pair. After spending time apart, the pair decided to take the next step in their relationship as Alejandro packed his suitcases and decided to fly to the Dominican Republic. However, before that, Nicole had to tell her mother, Lidia Jimeno about her new boyfriend. The only other person Alejandro had met from Nicole's family was her brother, Pedro Jimeno. The two did not have a pleasant meeting as their conversation ended with Pedro making it clear that Alejandro is not welcomed in the family.
One thing that set him off was finding out Alejandro was still married. While Nicole had been keeping the relationship a secret, she decided to break this news to her mom as Alejandro prepared to come to meet her. The conversation took place when Nicole and Lidia went out for dinner. After beating around the bush for a while, Nicole finally came to the topic and revealed she was dating Alejandro. Lidia was shocked to hear this but did not take the relationship seriously. She was quick to label the relationship as a "fling". Lidia stated that men from the Dominican Republic did not believe in having a serious relationship.
Lidia further claimed that Alejandro was no different. However, Nicole disagreed and tried convincing Lidia how Alejandro is not like the others. Unfortunately, it was not enough as Lidia thought he was not up to standards after finding out he had not graduated from a college. After hearing this, things got heated up and Nicole decided to walk out. Despite what went down between Nicole and her mother, she decided to invite Alejandro to her house in the hope that they could stay with him. Lidia was shocked to see Alejandro with his bags and made it clear that he won't be staying in the house.
She was dissatisfied with the gifts he bought for her and stated she was not a fan of "cheap perfumes". She further questioned Alejandro's lifestyle as she called him a "dishwasher boy" for not earning enough. Alejandro revealed he worked as a manager, part-time bartender, and was studying business. Despite this, Lidia did not seem happy. She ended up taking Alejandro's bags and throwing them out of her house. Lidia went on to throw Nicole also out and stated they could stay anywhere, but her house. While Nicole went on to leave with Alejandro, can she convince her mother to give him a chance?
