So far, this season of 'The Curse Of Oak Island' is proving to be the strangest, yet most fascinating one yet. While we continue to raise eyebrows skeptically and groan at the flurry of maps and geometric discussions, the Laginas aren't stopping with their Knight Templar theory anytime soon. In the previous episode, they somehow managed to deduce that there is a 'line' from Versailles, that goes through Temple Mount...and tada, ends up at Oak Island. So this means, that the Knights could have buried treasure on the island, and one of the items that the Laginas are sure is buried in the murky depths, is the Menorah.

The theory gets further fuel, thanks to the presence of Erin Shelton, who brings home the Zena Halpern map. Hold on with all your might, because there's more geometric discussion, as she somehow theorizes that the boulders on the island are 'anchors', and are pointing to the 'Treasure Vault' or rather the original Money Pit....sigh. How often have we heard about the original location of the Money Pit? Nevertheless, it's enough for the Laginas and team to pick up their shovels and go digging like the dwarves in 'Snow White'. And lo, and behold, they found a rock with markings on it. Alex Lagina suddenly becomes the man who knows what's up, and tries to understand whether the markings are man-made or natural.

Well, we don't have our hopes up and neither does Marty Lagina who is skeptical about the whole Zena Halpern map, but has faith in Erin's work. There's a lot of digging to do, and the Laginas ponder their next step. The boulders might or might not be pointing to the legendary treasure, but that won't stop them from looking, anyway. And hey, they found a 'lock' that could belong from a cabinet. The excitement is unpalpable, but there's no time to dwell on these minor successes as there's work to be done.

The Oak Island mystery continues to prove that it's more profound than just some treasure...or rather that's what we're made to believe. So, do the boulders lead anywhere?

'The Curse Of Oak Island' airs on Tuesdays at 9 pm on History.
