'The Curse Of Oak Island' Season 8 Episode 11: No gold for Gary, fans compare team to squirrel looking for nuts
Gold is what we come to watch 'The Curse Of Oak Island' for. Gold is what we never find. Never mind, here we are, watching the History show for the past seven years, waiting for the answers that have plagued historians, researchers for years. In the latest episode, Gary Drayton, who has been running around with a metal detector for years, strikes 'gold', or so he thinks. But it turns out it is a knob from a chest. Could that be a treasure chest? The speculation runs wild and the team can't stop theorizing. In the premiere, they found something looking suspiciously like gold, but it fell from the diver's fingers before they could find anything else. So what does it all mean? Have they decoded the mystery or like fans say, are they just looking around like a bunch of squirrels?
Nevertheless, the show serves as good entertainment for fans. "On the eve of a momentous day, they did not find the treasure on Oak Island. In a world of change, some things remain constant," a fan tweeted. "So what did we learn tonight? 1)Billy is trying to “accidentally” kill Laird 2)Gary is also an expert on “knobs” 3)Gary knows a “screamer” when he sees one," another one wrote. "#curseofoakisland #oakislandcursers And with that...we've reached the end of the stone paved road for another week here...on Oak Island. Everyone...stay safe and warm and know this...we'll see the same stuff next week...aren't you excited??" "Ah so leave it to the Narrator to repeat the silly Jewel box theory," a fan wrote. "Is it just me? seems like they were on the right track with their drilling in previous seasons but this year they're just drilling around willy nilly like a squirrel looking buried nuts!" one fan wrote. "It could be a knob from a Jewel Chest... Or...it could be a knob from that sunken ship that you guys haven't explored in the 7 seasons we've all been watching this show!!" a fan wrote.
