'The Curse Of Oak Island' Season 8 Episode 10: How is mound connected to swamp? Fans upset as team finds nothing
It was another exciting episode of 'The Curse Of Oak Island', and we found everything apart from treasure. The Laginas and their team discovered wood, ox feet and the fact that the serpent mound might be connected to the swamp. Rick Lagina has been saying forever that the swamp has some mystery beneath it, and this just might be it. However, fans are not buying it and expected more from this episode, for some reason.
"The Proof is Out There...not interesting. Sorry! See you next week #Cursers! #OakIslandCursers #curseofoakisland," one annoyed fan tweeted. "Well, that was overwhelmingly disappointing… again. #CurseOfOakIsland #OakIslandCursers #CurseOfOakIslandDrinkingGame," another wrote. Some poked fun at the show itself that they learned nothing from the show, but for once Marty Lagina, who is usually a skeptic, might be gratified. "What did we learn tonight? 1)To Jack’s dismay, finding artifacts on the spoils table requires no discernable skills 2)Laird may wear the Hi-Vis vest to bed 3)Marty is gratified #CurseOfOakIsland #OakIslandCursers #CurseOfOakIslandDrinkingGame," the Oak Island Drinking Game handle tweeted.
"They think the pit is connected to the mounds... way to go, boys. There might be hope for you yet! #OakIslandCursers #CurseOfOakIsland," another noted. At the end of the episode, the Laginas noted that it was a successful day, though fans don't agree. "If your job is to find treasure, but you don't find any....that's NOT success," a fan tweeted.

For the past few episodes, the team has been trying to decipher the link between the sea and the swamp and the mysterious roadway. Could the roadway have been used by seafarers to unload treasure? Or, was it intended for something else? The team has tried exploring, but to little or no success. Alex Lagina did try diving into the murky depths but due to poor visibility, he could not find anything.
They even tried working on Erin Helton's understanding of Zena Halpern's ancient map. Erin had a curious understanding of her map, which pointed to the existence of several 'boulders', as well as the fact that they've been digging in the wrong Money Pit area for a while now. She provided them the coordinates and said that using these, they should be able to find a tunnel. However, they were not able to do so and regretfully asked her to make a re-assessment of the situation again.
'The Curse Of Oak Island' airs on History Channel, Tuesdays at 9 pm.
