If you could win a coin for every time the words 'shaft', 'wood', 'boulders', 'Knights Templar', 'flood tunnel' and 'anomaly' were uttered on 'The Curse Of Oak Island', you would probably have more treasure than the mythical chests filled with gold on Oak Island.

In the 17th episode of the History Channel show, the Oak Island team doubles up their efforts in the uplands in a desperate attempt to attain answers that have been plaguing researchers, scholars, treasure hunters and historians for more than two centuries. At first, it seems like that they've just found more mud and slush, but it turns out that there is a tunnel too. COULD that be the flood tunnel at long last? This is actually the best part of the episode, because we finally see something different.

Rick Lagina, the more determined and keen of the two Lagina brothers, takes rather dangerous and extreme steps to investigate this new discovery. It's a tunnel-shaped structure for sure, but is it really the flood tunnel? What is its purpose? Turns out that the team might have to wait for a bit before they can unearth more answers as it requires more profound technology. Meanwhile, the team also sets about investigating the Daniel McGinnis foundation. Remember that name? Well, he's one of the first of the three young men who believed that there was something mysterious about Oak Island, all the way back in 1795. In an earlier episode, the team began to believe that his discoveries were not accidental and that he could be hiding something. There is a curious reveal that the team makes---but what does it amount to? That's the summary of a lot of the Oak Island findings.

Sad news also awaits the team, as they have to suspend their operations at Smith's Cove for the coming year, as it has to be returned to its natural setting. Rick Lagina believes that it is a' bittersweet' moment, as they've found many unique artifacts, including the mysterious lead cross (that is actually their best find).

Just around two episodes left for the seventh season to end, and the promo for the next episode looks promising, as they seem to have found more 'anomalies'. Will the team find the treasure? Ever?

'The Curse Of Oak Island' airs on History Channel, Tuesdays at 9pm.
