Lifetime Movies is going to make your Christmas merrier with its upcoming film, 'The Christmas Yule Blog'. The film casts Sara Canning and Zak Santiago in the lead roles and the duo will surely take you on a beautiful, melodious and romantic journey.

The official synopsis of the film reads, "Carolina Williams, a well-known social media travel writer, is given the assignment to cover a hundred-year-old Christmas parade in the small town of Carte De Amor, New Mexico. Not excited about the assignment, Caroline goes anyway and meets a high school music teacher, Oscar Ortiz, who introduces her to a side of Christmas that she has never seen, with different traditions and meanings. In the twelve days before Christmas, Caroline falls in love with Christmas all over again and finds true love for herself."

Born on July 14, 1987, in Newfoundland, Canada, Sara Canning competed as a figure skater in her childhood and adolescent years, she later became interested in theatre as a student at FR Haythorne Junior High. Canning starred in several stage productions while she was attending Bev Facey Community High School. She also acted in shows at her hometown stage at Festival Place. Canning co-starred on  The CW's TV series 'The Vampire Diaries' where she played the character of Jenna Sommers and later, in 2009 she appeared in the feature film, 'Black Field'. She played the character of Dylan Weir in the Canadian TV show, 'Primeval: New World', and of Dr Melissa Conner on the Global medical drama 'Remedy'. She has also appeared in the 2017 blockbuster film 'War for the Planet of the Apes'. Canning is also known for her performance as Jacquelyn Scieszka in the Netflix series 'A Series of Unfortunate Events'.

Zak Santiago

Born on January 3, 1981, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Zak Santiago has appeared in many TV shows, including 'Young Blades', 'Smallville', 'Robson Arms', 'Flight 93', 'Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency', 'Shut Eye' and 'The L Word'. In December 2009, Santiago played the Ten of Clubs in the Syfy miniseries 'Alice' and in 2013, he played that character of Dominguez in the movie 'The Five People you Meet in Heaven'. Santiago portrayed the character of Ramon, a dance instructor, restaurant owner, DJ, and wedding officiant in TV series, 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered'. He has also appeared in the episode 'My Room' in Season 1 of 'Dead Like Me', where he played the role of an angry man who decided to kill a tattoo artist for botching his tattoo. Santiago played the lead role in 'The Assistants on The N' in early 2009. He also appeared in the 2008 movie, 'The Eye', starring Jessica Alba. Apart from acting, he also works as a DJ.

Andrea Agur plays the character of Betty in 'The Christmas Yule Blog'. She has also appeared in crime thriller film, 'Chained', and in drama flicks like 'Florrie' and 'Daughter' in 2019. Apart from working as an actor, Agur also works as a costume designer.

'The Christmas Yule Blog' will release on Friday, November 6, at 8 pm on Lifetime Movies.
