Season 3 of ‘The Boys’ ended with a bang and gave everyone an idea of how much they love the show. A lot of things happened during the finale, which featured a massive showdown between the show’s main characters and pushed Homelander, Butcher, and Starlight in new directions. In the latest season, Homelander (Anthony Starr) went off the rails and we almost lost count of how many people actually died during the show.

One of the most emotional moments came when Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) told his son Homelander that he is a “fu***ng disappointment” during the final battle of ‘The Boys’ Season 3 finale. Without any guesses, the finale featured a lot of body count and epic acting sequences, and fans are already really excited for what’s going to happen in Season 4. Although the plot details for Season 4 are scarce, creator Eric Kripke recently opened up about if there would be crossover events happening in the ‘The Boys’ universe.

While talking about the spin-off shows and crossover events, Kripke made it clear that the team is already making out plans on how to take some storylines from Season 3 of the Amazon Prime Video series and tackle them in the first season of ‘Varsity’, one of the upcoming spin-off show. In an interview with Deadline, the creator also revealed that ‘Varsity’ will feature some things happening at the school that have a direct connection with everything that happened during Season 3.

“There’s definitely crossover, and we’re doing our best to design a universe that sees some of the issues and storylines in Season 3 hand off to the first season in Varsity. Like there’s a presidential campaign happening in the background of that season, and there are certain things that are happening at that school that are both in reaction to Season 3 of ‘The Boys’,” Kripke said.

However, he also mentioned that some of the new storylines in ‘Varsity’ will also be explored in the upcoming season of ‘The Boys’. For the uninitiated, ‘Varsity’ follows a group of young adult supes who attend the Vought-owned Godolkin University School of Crimefighting, where their skills are put to the test in various challenges. The series sees Lizzy Broadway as Emma Shaw and Jaz Sinclair as Maria Moreau. Meanwhile, Patrick Schwarzenegger will be seen portraying the character of the Golden Boy.

‘Varsity’ will be the second spin-off show spawning out of the mother series. In March 2022, ‘The Boys Presents: Diabolical’ premiered on Prime Video and garnered positive reviews.

As far as Season 3 of ‘The Boys’ is concerned, the show ended with Soldier Boy being the less sentimental one and continuing the fight with his son Homelander. As soon as Soldier Boy brings Ryan, his grandson, into the fight, Butcher turns against him and gets into a fight. Meanwhile, Maeve and Homelander fight each other. Maeve tackles Soldier Boy out of Vought Tower and makes everyone believe that she died in the fight. So finally, she gets the chance to retire from The Seven.

On the other hand, Starlight has decided to step down from the group and even throws away her iconic gold and white costume.

The ending makes us believe that characters would try to walk on different paths in Season 4. However, it also makes us realize that Homelander is just going to go berserk in the upcoming edition.

‘The Boys’ Season 3 is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
