'The Boys' Season 2: Full trailer shows Homelander throwing his son off the roof, fans label it 'fatherly love'

There is a lot to process in the latest trailer of the Amazon show 'The Boys' but we wonder if Homelander is going to use Billy Butcher's wife to lay a trap

At the end of Season 1, some shocking revelations were made and one of them is addressed in the 3-minute trailer that was released on Tuesday. We see Homelander (Antony Starr) land in what seems to be a peaceful neighborhood and the woman who walks out of this American dream house is none other than Billy Butcher's (Karl Urban) wife Becca (Shantel VanSanten). Not only is she alive, but she also has a son and this son's father is not Butcher, but Homelander. While the entire trailer features nothing but gunshots, blood, gore, and dead bodies; which mostly reveal a few shocking details, what has left us in splits and shock equally is Homelander picking his son up and dropping him from a rooftop. Why?

From what we have learned about Homelander, this could just be his way of teaching his son how to fly. Is it sensible? When has Homelander ever been? Fans too have taken this in stride and this wife one of them even commented on YouTube trailer, "Homelander teaching his kid how to fly by throwing him off the roof is some daddy goals right there!!" Another fan also agreed and said, "Homelander teaching his son how to fly by throwing his son off the roof is fatherly love lmao."

Another brilliant moment is when Homelander meets Stormfront (Aya Cash) and she tries to convince him to come onboard her plan which is to employ not just a supe team but a supe army. Imagine all that can be achieved she says and when Homelander seems convinced, she says, "Now don't be a pus**, lazer my fu***** ti**." It seems that Homelander has finally met his match in Stormfront who seems as vicious as he is. If season 1 saw Homelander being controlled and manipulated extensively by Madelyn Stillwell (Elizabeth Shue), this time around, Homelander will be dancing with Stormfront.

One fan in fact compared this moment to how Thor went for Thanos' chest in 'Avengers' and wrote, "Thor goes for Thanos' chest = lose. Homelander goes for Stormfront's chest = WIN!" Another fan wrote, "This trailer is better than the entire Joss Whedon's Justice League Period."

Fans have also shown love for the scene in which Hughie tells his team, "We just can't kill everyone." In response, The Female (Karen Fukuhara) walks out with a grenade launcher because she is ready to do just that and then we see Butcher add to the mood with his maniacal laughter. Many fans have also shared their own version of this dialogue to express how hilarious all of it is.

Fans are also happy that despite being three-minutes long, the show has not spoiled the upcoming season for fans, but has instead hooked them in with a few highlights.

'The Boys' Season 2 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 4.
