'The Book of Boba Fett' Season 2: Will Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen's Fennec Shand return?
As 'The Book of Boba Fett' calls curtains down on Season 1, the events in the finale will surely see fans hope for a Season 2. Set after the events of 'Return of the Jedi', the Temuera Morrison-starrer sees Boba Fett and Fennec Shand take on the Galaxy's underworld and fight for Jabba the Hutt's old territory on the sands of Tatooine. The final battle ends with Grogu, Mando, the people of Freetown along with the Mod gang joining forces with Boba and Shand to take down the Pyke Syndicate and the Mayor of Mos Espa.
The finale that lasted a good hour was an absolute treat as it gave 'Star Wars' fans the much-anticipated stand-off between Boba and Cad Bane. Add to this some Rancor vs the droids, some tender Mando and Grogu moments, it was a finale to remember as 'The Mandalorian' Season 3 comes up by the end of the year. Although there appears to be closure, it does suggest that Boba remains Daimyo of Mos Espa and will be out there to help Mando should he need it.
We take a look at potential Season 2 that's not yet announced officially, but wouldn't be a surprise if there was one.
Release date
Although there is no official confirmation of a new season, the success the show has seen (81% on Rotten Tomatoes) will surely have 'Star Wars' head honchos think about green-lighting another season. The first season premiered in December, so expect a new potential season at the start of next year.
Who will be in the cast of 'The Book of Boba Fett' Season 2?
Morrison and Wen will surely reprise their roles as Boba and master assassin Shand respectively. Expect some familiar and new names to make an appearance. It is unclear if the Mandalorian or Grogu make an appearance in the new installment. If Morrison has his wish come true of getting revenge against Mace Windu (Samuel L. Jackson), then perhaps Season 2 could see the two face-off.
Talking on IMDb's 'On The Scene' to discuss the series, Morrison revealed he wants to exact revenge on Windu for the death of his character's father. He also agreed with co-star Wen that "slow torture" at the hands of his compatriot Fennec Shand would "definitely" be fitting. "I owe him big time for my dad. He's done. He's done. I've got my eye on him. He's top of the list, in fact."
What will be the plot of 'The Book of Boba Fett Season 2?
The pilot saw Boba take over Jabba the Hutt's palace with Shand and then engage in a battle with the Pyke Syndicate. He finds some able assistance from Din Djarin's Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal). With 'Star Wars' spin-offs generally playing their cards close to their chest, what happens in Season 2 is anyone's guess.

Favreau returns as the creator. He also serves as the executive producer alongside Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson.
