'The Blacklist' is back after a two-month break and fans are on the edge of their seats. The last we saw, Red (James Spader) had shot Katarina, just as Liz (Megan Boone) arrives. Liz is seething with revenge, and she is more determined than ever to get back at Red. In the latest episode, Liz is out to kill Red with a car bomb, but luckily, he is saved by his own disease. He starts coughing and doesn't get into her death trap. By now, viewers are rather sick of Liz and her ability to believe anyone else but Red. Viewers are also wondering what's going to happen to Red, and whether he's going to die. For seasons, we've been teased with his mysterious disease, but we're still no closer to finding out what's happening to him.

Some fans are sure that nothing can kill Red. "No can kill Red not even disease lol #TheBlacklist," a fan tweeted. "Red’s illness just may have saved his life. #ironic #TheBlacklist," another wrote. Meanwhile, others are cursing Liz for wanting to kill Red. "Liz knew that lady for five minutes. She killed a man in front of Agnes. She lied to her whole time. And now she wanna kill Red over her? For real? #TheBlackList #Blacklist," a fan wrote. "Red's collapse was very well-timed. I can't believe Liz was willing to go that far.  #TheBlacklist," another wrote. "Oh sorry Liz, that Red hacking up a lung is inconvenient for your murder plans. She’s a complete nightmare. Please die. #TheBlacklist," one tweeted. "What is wrong with Red? Why won't they tell us? I think he has cancer? This is crazy! #TheBlacklist," a fan wrote. "Your plan is delayed Liz, Red's illness is catching up with him and might take him out instead #TheBlacklist," a fan tweeted.

The show's creator, Jon Bokenkamp, revealed at Comic-Con 2020, that Red's ailment will not 'be going away' in Season 8. The show would lean more into his circumstances and explore that storyline. So, as fans worry, Season 8 could just be the final season of 'The Blacklist'. Tune into NBC on Fridays at 8 pm.
