Spoilers for 'The Blacklist' Season 7 Episode 16 'Nyle Hatcher'

Anybody who watched the most recent episode of 'The Blacklist' Season 7 will know what this is about. After an intense episode of morbid, slimy crimes, Syrian refugees seeking asylum and people believed to be dead coming back alive, the one thing that's managed to leave the entire fandom shocked and worried sick is the ending of Episode 16 'Nyle Hatcher'. It has now led to speculations surrounding the death of one of the Godfather of all blacklists, with the promo clip for the upcoming episode not helping things either.

Right at the end of the episode, Dember goes to tell Red about fingerprints obtained from the Imam's office after his abduction. We know who these prints belonged to, as we see Katarina Rostova come back from the grave to visit the Imam with some questions, earlier in the episode. But before Dembe can spill to Red who exactly these prints belonged to, he finds Red sprawled across on the floor, unconscious, with no or relatively dropping pulse. Could it be a medical thing or has Red been poisoned? The last we see him in public is when he is organizing a grand feast for Syrian asylum seekers, who were being carried out of the country in shipping containers, being communicated from the mosque. Was his food poisoned? Does Katarina have people working within Red's close circuit to take him out?

It's obvious with Liz tailing Ilya using a PI and having learned that Ilya is in fact not Red, her suspicions surrounding Red's real identity are at ease. But frenzied fans, worried sick about Red, are convinced Liz was responsible as she is one of the last persons to be seen interacting with Red on the screen. The fact that she was always overly confident about her mother, Katarina, being alive is also telling. And with her mother's distaste towards Red and Red constantly insisting that Katarina is dead, it's possible the duo hatched a plan to take him out. But could Liz ever do that? Would she ever do that?

Taking to Twitter, shocked fans expressed their worry, sharing: "I'll be thinking about Red on the floor for 2 weeks." Another fan stated the real reason behind the entire fandom going crazy, noting: "I didn't see Red in the preview for next week's episode?" A third fan pulled up some facts and dished out some more, writing: "I want Red's back story more than anything; And Katarina getting to Red via Dembe? Low blow, even for Katarina."

Another fan believes Liz is to blame, as they shared: "Every time Katarina shows up its bad for Red's health. But Liz never learns and Red always gets stuck cleaning up the mess and dealing with the consequences."

Even Donald Ressler wasn't spared hatred for getting the entire upcoming episode focused on his backstory when all of this is going on with Red. "So now, an entire episode dedicated to Ressler? Really? Last week it was Park? Then Aram? All this filler story When we still don't know Red's entire back story??? WTF?" wrote an angry fan about the situation. But offering some respite, a fan pointed out the possibility that "If I were to guess, I'd say they're trying to knock Red out for a moment so they can get to Dembe. #TheBlacklist Because those two don't go anywhere without each other."

'The Blacklist' Season 7 airs on Fridays at 8 pm only on NBC.
