'The Bachelorette' 2022: Mario Vassall's 'most awkward kiss on tv' wins Gabby Windey's first impression rose
After getting played by Clayton Echard on 'The Bachelor' Season 26, Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey, are getting a second shot at finding love. Returning as 'The Bachelorettes' on the ABC show's Season 19, Rachel and Gabby, get to pick their Prince Charming from the 32 handsome men ready to sweep them off their feet.
The premiere episode of season 19 kicked off with both Rachel and Gabby meeting all the men and interacting with them, before deciding who to hand out the coveted first impression rose to. The two beautiful ladies walked in thinking it would be a steamy kiss-fest with the suitors but instead were greeted by 32 gentlemen, who kept their hands to themselves and asked for consent before planting a kiss. Gabby, an ICU nurse, found herself feeling drawn to one of the suitors named Mario Vassall. As their conversation flowed effortlessly, Mario accidentally touched Gabby on her knee, leading to a kiss between the duo. While Gabby and the producers seemed to enjoy the kiss, considering how Gabby kept pulling him back in for the kiss, and the amount of screentime the kiss received, sadly fans didn't share the same feeling. Fans felt that the kiss between Mario and Gabby was beyond awkward to watch. So, when Gabby decided to hand her first impression rose to Mario, fans were pleasantly surprised.
