Spoilers for ‘The 100’ Season 7 Episode 13 ‘Blood Giant'

This episode of 'The 100' will probably be the most remembered one of The CW show's final season. With Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley) absent from most of Season 7, fans had to endure this week's entire episode filled with intense drama only for it to end with Bellamy's death. While Bellamy decided to pledge his allegiance to the Shepard, he stepped away from the loyalty he had with his friends.

It's safe to say that Bellamy's lack of appreciation for what his friends had done for years to survive ended up with the show's worst possible demise. Fans are not only absolutely livid but devastated, as they consider this one of the show's biggest losses.

After making it back to Sanctum so that the Shepard can get The Flame from Clarke Griffin ( Eliza Taylor), The Flame ended up being destroyed by Gabriel, who pushed aside thoughts that the Josephine he was hallucinating was telling him. Clarke Griffin who had always told her daughter, Madi Griffin (Lola Flanery), to keep the book where she drew her memories a secret, was tipped off to Bellamy by the now dying Sheidheda.

Unfortunately, instead of taking the side of his friends, Bellamy decided to stay loyal to the Shepard forcing Clarke to shoot him as he wanted to expose Madi's book. There was nothing that Clarke wouldn't do to save her daughter, but no fan of the show saw this coming. "So much for together," she had said, telling Bellamy he had made his choice.

As fans kept hope that Bellamy could possibly be alive, it seemed impossible considering both the doctors on Sanctum were now on their way with the rest of the crew to help save Hope and Echo. There is no one on Sanctum who could treat Bellamy — Clarke's aim was on point. Not to mention, the creator of the show, Jason Rothenberg, tweeted out to fans the nature of why Bellamy ended up leaving the show.

"We knew Bellamy's death had to go to the heart of what the show is all about: survival. Who you're willing to protect. And who you're willing to sacrifice," said Rothenberg thanking Marley for what fans thought was an exceptional performance and delivery of a character that many were invested in.

"Go away u broke me," said a devastated fan with another adding, "What did his death serve? Clarke didn’t get the book?" Fans couldn't comprehend why the show's creator and the writers room would kill off just an essential character. What was the point? "I'm done with this....  F**K YOU JASON," said another fan. There were many fans who awaited Clarke's and Bellamy's reunion this season.

While that was uneventful since Bellamy was dressed up in Disciple gear, this seems to be what the season was gearing up for — Clarke killing Bellamy. As poetic as that is, considering the struggles the duo have been through together, fans are just livid that they had to witness the one person Clarke would do anything for, die by her hands. Not to mention, Bellamy's brother, Octavia Blake, didn't get to say goodbye — fans can't believe that either!

Fans are saying that this scene was a possible bait into giving the show's last season a final "shock factor". One fan wrote, "Killing a character for a last-minute shock?! Seriously? When you analyze the scene there were too many things Clarke could’ve done! It’s just gonna be about how we kill to survive. Which yeah I get. But seriously, way to ruin the final season #The100."

But, it's also important to mention, that there were some fans who hated on Bellamy after he deferred his loyalty, with another fan tweeting, "But honestly Clarke killed Bellamy to save her daughter that’s queen energy period #The100@cwthe100." This, we guess, is what Rothenberg was going for.

Either way, the death of one of 'The 100' most iconic characters, is a huge loss to fans and the show. "Bellamy Blake has always been my favorite character on #The100. One of my favorite characters on any tv show ever. I haven’t cried that hard at a show in a long time," tweeted another fan.

‘The 100’ airs on Wednesday nights at 8/7c on The CW.
