NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Today' hosts Craig Melvin and Al Roker are not only good co-hosts but are also good buddies and they often pull each other's legs. Once again, on live TV, Roker made use of an opportunity to mess with his co-host Melvin while he had donned smart goggles. Roker did not waste a moment to scare him.

While the entire panel was gearing up for Father's Day and discussing potential gifts, Melvin resorted to testing a pair of smart goggles on himself and entering a new world of virtual reality. Once Melvin put on the chunky piece of eyewear and Roker was certain he wouldn't be able to see anything through it, the latter immediately sneaked up on Melvin, to his horror, and screamed.

Sheinelle Jones helps Al

Al was able to scare Melvin successfully only after Sheinelle Jones confirmed that his friend could not see anything through the pair of goggles. She was very careful about asking that question and did not make it obvious that Al was planning to prank him. Jones had a good laugh as soon as Melvin took the glasses off because, by then, Al was standing too close to his face. Melvin screamed and said, "That was creepy."

This is not the first time Al made Melvin scream. Earlier it was Al's return to the studio that made Melvin jump with joy. Al was on a hiatus to recover from his knee replacement surgery and his return to the studio filled all his co-hosts with utmost excitement. He has become his playful self again, pranking his co-hosts on live TV.

Al almost made Melvin cuss

As reported by The Sun, Melvin said, “I come this close to cussing on live television once a week because of you!”, igniting appreciation for the kind of friendship he shares with Al. While the audiences may not always see what the buddies are up to, it is clear that both of them come close to making each other do something unpredictable on live TV. Jones could not help but giggle at Melvin's reaction when he saw Al close to his face.

If Al continues to mess with his buddy every week, then one day Melvin might actually end up screaming profanities. However, with the playful banter Melvin shares regularly with his co-hosts, Melvinators might end up forgiving him for cursing, even though it is highly unacceptable in a daytime show.
