LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Christina Applegate made a rare appearance at the 75th Emmy Awards to present the award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Christina, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021, used a cane to reach the stage.

Christina received a standing ovation and got emotional while presenting the award to 'The Bear' star Ayo Edebiri. However, host Anthony Anderson ran to the stage to support Christina and she joked, "You’re totally shaming me with disability by standing up!"

She then referenced the weight-loss drug and quipped, "Body not by Ozempic."

However, fans accused Jason Bateman of mocking Christina's physical appearance and called him out on social media.

A social media user tweeted, "Was that man eating & licking his fingers; won and kissed his wife with food still in mouth and was still chewing food on stage. TF."

A person added, "Am I the only one that thought his joke going at Christina Applegate was a bit cruel?"

A critic noted, "That was a cheap shot at Christina Applegate #Emmys."

One social media user penned, "Were those some not so subtle digs at Christina Applegate or am I missing a joke?"

Another X user said, "Is bro throwing shade to christina applegate rn?"

Another fan commented, "@TheEmmys writers…having #JasonBateman use an incredible actress with MS @1capplegate as the butt of a joke and targeting her physical appearance is beyond poor taste. She’s a powerful, talented and amazing icon. #DoBetter."
