'Temple' a suspense drama originally aired on September 2019 in the UK on Sky One. It is set to make it's US debut on Spectrum Originals this fall. It follows a surgeon named Dr Daniel Milton played by actor Mark Strong, and his illegally run clinic under the Temple subway station. While his activities may be criminal, he has a solid and emotional reason behind this underground clinic. Here is all you need to know about Season 1 of 'Temple'.

Plot
Spectrum's plot reads, "In this character-driven drama, a brilliant but haunted surgeon must sacrifice everything for the ones he loves by opening an underground clinic. As word of the clinic starts to spread amongst outcasts and the criminal underworld, our hero becomes entrenched in dangerous battles between life and death — and one for his very soul."
Whereas, Metacritic goes into a bit more details revealing, "Dr Daniel Milton (Mark Strong) runs an illegal medical clinic under London's Temple subway station to help fund his research into his wife's terminal illness in this British series based on the Norwegian show Valkyrien."

Mark Strong as Dr Daniel Milton
Strong is known for his roles as Captain Smith in '1917' (2019), Dr Silvana in 'Shazam!' (2019), Merlin in 'Kingsman: The Golden Circle' (2017), and George in 'Zero Dark Thirty' (2012). His most recent roles include 'The Catcher Was a Spy' (2018), 'Deep State' (2018), the video game 'Battlefield V' (2018), and 'The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance' (2019). He has a release titled 'Cruella' (2021) in post-production and an announced release titled 'Squadron 42'. In 2005, the actor won a Broadcasting Press Guild Award for Best Actor for 'The Long Firm' (2004), in 2012 he won a COFCA Award for Best Ensemble in 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' (2011) which he shared with his castmates and in 2015 he was an Ensemble Cast Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival for 'The Imitation Game' (2014) which he also shared with castmates.
Daniel Mays as Lee Simmons
Mays is popularly known for his roles in 'Rogue One' (2016), 'Mr Nobody' (2009) and 'The Bank Job' (2008). Many may also remember him from 'White Lines' (2020) and 'Good Omens' (2019). The talented actor had been nominated for a BAFTA award in 2017 for Best Supporting Actor for 'Line of Duty' (2012), and a National Television Award in 2013 for Most Popular Male Drama Performance for 'Mrs Biggs' (2012). He also won for Best Actor at the 2004 Reims International Television Days for 'Rehab' (2003).
Carice van Houten as Anna Willems
Van Houten is popularly remembered as Melisandre from the hit HBO series 'Game of Thrones' (2012-2019) but has also been part of other amazing productions. Her recognizable roles include Rachel Stein in 'Black Book' (2006), Nina von Stauffenberg in 'Valkyrie' (2008), and Carol in 'Repo Men' (2010). Her most recent works include 'Domino' (2019), 'Instinct' (2019), 'Lost Girls and Love Hotels' (2020) and 'Red Light' (2020). Besides her numerous awards for 'Game of Thrones', the actress as won five Golden Film awards, two Platin Film awards, five Golden Calf awards and six Rembrandt Awards.
