‘Station 19’ actor joins Patrick Dempsey's ‘Memory of a Killer’ in a major recurring role
Fox’s ‘Memory of a Killer’ has recruited a new star for Season 2, and it’s someone familiar to ‘Station 19’ viewers. Deadline revealed that Boris Kodjoe has joined the cast of the series in a recurring role. He will play Tré, the “Fourth Musketeer,” childhood friend to Angelo (Patrick Dempsey), Dutch (Michael Imperioli), and Angelo’s brother Michael (Richard Clarkin).
According to the outlet, Tré is the only one in the group who “broke good,” and he has since become a successful corporate executive. He is set to be honored for his philanthropy, specifically for looking out for the community where the group spent their formative years. Meanwhile, ‘Memory of a Killer’ is Dempsey’s return to network television after many years. He portrays hitman Angelo Flannery, whose life begins to spiral out of control after he is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s.
The series is based on the 2003 Belgian film ‘De Zaak Alzheimer’ and its source novel. The first season also starred Peter Gadiot, Richard Harmon, Odeya Rush, and Daniel David Stewart, with Season 2 slated to return in mid-2027.
For the unversed, Boris Kodjoe completed his tenure on ‘Station 19’ as Captain Robert Sullivan, having also directed the series finale. Before that, he starred in the Lifetime movie ‘Safe Room,’ in which his real-life wife, Nicole Ari Parker, also appeared. Kodjoe has amassed a well-rounded portfolio of television and film roles. He has appeared in series such as ‘Soul Food,’ ‘Undercovers,’ ‘Last Man on Earth,’ ‘The Real Husbands of Hollywood,’ and ‘House of Cards.’
Coming to movies, he has starred in the ‘Resident Evil’ franchise, ‘Baggage Claim,’ ‘Love and Basketball,’ ‘Brown Sugar,’ and Tyler Perry’s ‘Madea’s Family Reunion,’ among others.
Kodjoe’s casting comes weeks after Meta Golding, who played Noelle Hastings in ‘The Pitt,’ was added to Season 2 as Mel, Angelo’s childhood sweetheart.
Now, his presence lends further credence to the theory that the upcoming season will follow Angelo’s past, going into events that took place before he became the cold hitman we have come to know. ‘Memory of a Killer’ was produced by Warner Bros. Television and Fox Entertainment, with Dempsey, Aaron Zelman, Glenn Kessler, Arthur Sarkissian, Martin Campbell, and Peter Bouckaert of Eyeworks also serving as executive producers.
If you haven't watched the show yet, ‘Memory of a Killer’ Season 1 saw Dempsey’s Angelo struggling to balance his life as a hitman and a family man, while he also raced against time to find a cure for his condition. With Season 2 under production, viewers will have to wait until mid-2027 to discover what happens next in his life.
