Amber Portwood has been struggling with her mental health ever since her ex-boyfriend, Andrew Glennon accused her of domestic violence. The two have been finding it hard to reach a conclusion with regard to the custody of their son, James Glennon. While Amber has been vocal about her struggles ever since these accusations came forward, one thing that seems to be keeping her sane is the new man in her life.
In the latest episode of 'Teen Mom OG' (April 28), Amber was seen smiling after a very long time while talking to Dimitri Garcia. This is the first time Dimitri is making an appearance on the show. While the rumors about their relationship started circulating in 2019, fans finally got to see who he is. Here's everything you need to know about Amber's new man.
1. He is from Belgium
Amber revealed Dimitri is from Belgium and may not be as fluent in English as everyone else. Despite the long distance, the pair managed to connect on a deeper level and it seems like he is acting as her anchor as she deals with her ongoing court cases.
2. They met on social media
The pair started talking after they interacted on social media. Dimitri was the first one to drop a message to Amber. Like many, he too is a fan of 'Teen Mom' and that paved the way for both of them to connect.
3. He has young children
While there is no information about who or where his children are, it is believed that Dimitri left his children to be with Amber. It seems like the two are more serious than one had thought and it makes us wonder if they will be announcing their relationship officially soon.
4. He is a private person
While Dimitri appears on the show for a while, in reality, he seems like a private person. His Instagram profile is private and does not allow one to see his posts. With only 11 posts, it looks like he is not a fan of glorifying his life on social media.
5. He has visited Amber in the US
While Dimitri is from Belgium, he has in fact visited Amber. The two reportedly met and Dimitri only had a one-way ticket. There have been reports that suggested Amber has been trying to get Dimitri paid to be on the show but there has been no official announcement yet.
While Amber has not yet made an official announcement about her relationship, the smile on her face has everyone believing that things are about to get serious!
