Netflix 'Tall Girl 2': Who is Ava Michelle? Lead actress is trained in 5 dance forms!
Netflix's upcoming teen drama movie 'Tall Girl 2' is the talk of the town. The star of the movie Ava Michelle (as Jodi Kreyman) is more than just a 6-feet-tall teenager, let's see why.
Michelle is an actress, a dancer, model, and singer as well! The showstopper has been professionally trained in contemporary, ballet, pointe, jazz, and even tap dance forms! In addition, she also managed to catwalk her way for New York Fashion Week in 2017. Best known for her groundbreaking role as Jodi Kreyman in the film 'Tall Girl', she frequented 'Dance Moms' from seasons 3 to 7, and also appeared on the famous dance show on Fox 'So You Think You Can Dance'.

Michelle has gone all out in the modeling industry and even made it big at just 19! In spite of her hectic dance schedule, she managed to catwalk her way onto New York Fashion Week in 2017, and also for designer Jovani during the Los Angeles Fashion Week.
Much like Michelle's character Jodi in the Netflix movie 'Tall Girl', she too has brought up the topic of bullying since she went down that road in her past. She was removed from 'Dance Moms' because her height was an issue. Luckily enough, the actress didn't let this one setback get to her, being herself got her to great heights (Pun intended).
So although immensely talented, her physical appearance is what stopped her from going ahead on the show. It's like they say, "Haters gonna hate". In 2013, Michelle appeared on 'Dance Moms', and was the show's regular star for a solid four years. She continued to go on tours with the other stars as well. She later toured the United States with other stars from Dance Moms in 2018.
In 2016, Michelle was seen in the very first episode of Fox's 'So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation' but was cut off because of her height.
Growing up, Ava has collected several awards for her talents in dancing, and as a professional dancer, she was not used to hearing comments on her height. So although famous dancing shows cut her out, she continued to do what she loved.
“My height was really hard for me growing up. Like, I was 5-foot-10 at 13. I was really, really tall,” Ava said. “In the business that I was in, and even just being in school, I was made fun of, and it was really difficult. But ironically, I got my first huge [acting gig] partly because of the thing I hated about myself for so long", she told Teen Vogue.
'Tall Girl 2' releases on February 11, 2022, on Netflix.
