'Tale of the NIne-Tailed' Episode 13 will not air on November 18 as planned, and instead, the show will go on a week-long break. This means that Episodes 13 and 14 will be postponed by a week and fans will have to wait a week to see how Lee Yeon (Lee Dong-wook) will deal with his brother who is on the death bed after being struck down by his own friend Yu Ri. We will also wait another week to see how Lee Yeon will deal with the powerful part of Imoogi that is hidden within Ji-ah's body. This part of Imoogi appears at the very end of Episode 12 when Lee Yeon attempts to banish the human form of Imoogi (Lee Tae-ri).

In report in Soompi, a source was quoted as saying: "In order to ensure an improved and more complete quality of production, ‘Tale of the Nine-Tailed’ will take a break from airing for a week. On November 18, a special highlight broadcast of ‘Tale of the Nine-Tailed’ will air, and on November 19, the show ‘Future Class’ will air instead. Episodes 13 and 14 of ‘Tale of the Nine-Tailed’ will air on November 25 and 26.” Now, this highlight broadcast is not just behind the scenes footage and cast interviews, but a special spin-off that would star Kim Beom as Lee Rang in the lead role. So far, Lee Rang's character has received a lot of love. However, he has not had too much of screentime and this special three-episode series will take care of telling us Lee Rang's story.

According to the official Twitter handle of tvN, 'Tale of the Nine-Tailed' will air the first episode of this spin-off on Wednesday, November 18, followed by the second episode on November 25 and the final episode on December 2. While the first episode will take over the broadcast time of the original show, the second and the third episodes will air right after the parent show airs on tvN.

A trailer of this spin-off was also released on the social media handles and it looks like we will get to see more of Yu Ri and her relationship with Shin Joo as well the growing bond between Lee Rang and the boy he rescued. The little boy, who in his previous life was Lee Rang's dog, was rescued from an abusive home and brought over to Lee Rang's home where Yu Ri, Shin Joo and Lee Rang took turns taking care of him. So the spin-off will concentrate on this plotline.

'Tale of the Nine-Tailed' will be aired on tvN on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10.30 pm KST and can be streamed on Viki Global.
