The Waldrop family has always been eager to get the audiences acquainted with the way they lead their life. The latest season saw the family surviving a cyclone, having play dates and enjoying family time together. While they thought they would be moving forward with the production, their worst fears came true when Covid-19 started spreading in the US.

Courtney and Eric Waldrop first found out about COVID-19 while watching the news and seeing how it had affected the US. However, they were scared of what might happen when it starts spreading in their county. In the previous episode, Courtney had received a call from her friend who informed her about COVID-19 spreading in the US.

Courtney was worried about what lay in front of them. I knew it was extremely bad in China, but I did not know it made its way into the US," she said. "It is so scary". She read the news and found out that Covid-19 was set to affect 40-70 percent of the people in the US. Meanwhile, Eric, though there were chances of things getting worse in the US. "All I know is there are thousands and thousands of people who got it in China and if it can spread like that there, it can spread like that here," he said. Just when the pair thought things could not get worse, they found out that the production would have to stop as the network could not risk the lives of people.

Courtney and Eric were informed that they would be stopping the shooting and it was uncertain when will they return. Courtney became emotional as she did not expect things to change so quickly. As the crew packed their bags, Courtney and Eric realized how serious things were getting.

Previously, the two seemed worried about how Covid-19 would affect their house. With a family of 11, Eric knew the risks were high. "If one of us gets it, then we are all going to get it," he said. As the production shuts down, the Waldrops try to prepare themselves for what lies ahead.

'Sweet Home Sextuplets' airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
