Supermarket Sweep: Blogger moms win $29K, fans lose their minds as Cecily destroys head of lettuce with bare hands

With only a second left Team Cold Coffee made it in the nick of time and finished the round, and fans couldn't be happier

ABC’s reboot of the 60s classic game show ‘Supermarket Sweep’ created quite a bit of buzz amongst fans with the latest episode.

Team Cold Coffee (because who doesn’t love cold coffee!) consisted of a couple of mommy bloggers Cecily and Rosie. “We blog about mommy stuff,” they said when host Leslie Jones looked confused, “the struggle is real,” they continued and Leslie agreed. The duo goes on to win $29 and fans are happy for them. Cecily rips up a head of lettuce with her two bare hands and fans jump in to celebrate with them.

“The woman who ripped up the iceberg lettuce after winning on @SuperSweepABC this week is all of us in 2020 #SupermarketSweep,” wrote one fan. “I LOVED this lady on #SupermarketSweep but bruh she just destroyed a head of iceberg lettuce with her bare hands,” wrote another.

Happy fans congratulated the moms by writing, “Congratulations Cecily and Rosie! Good night from the supermarket, and remember, next time you're at the checkout and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could be having on #SupermarketSweep!” Another fan observed, “The look on @Lesdoggg face when the lettuce was destroyed was the best look ever.  #SupermarketSweep.”

Another fan commented on the moms' decision to stop playing and cash out after they won two rounds as they wrote, “@misssarahpaige7 just so ya know, I would always choose the ‘keep shopping option’, but would respect your choice to cash out if so desired!” Another fan also supported their decision writing, “#SupermarketSweep
They made the right decision.. take the money..”

With only a second left Team Cold Coffee made it in the nick of time and finished the round. All the viewers at home skipped a heartbeat as they tweet, “With one second on the clock! Tier one complete! 25k! And they are done!” “DAMN THAT WAS CLOSE!! MY HEART,” wrote another. “That made me nervous as hell they had 1 second left,” wrote another fan.

Writer Phillip Louie who is a regular viewer of the show, agreed with the moms’ decision to cash out, writing, “Close game! One second left. Good choice to take the $ #SupermarketSweep”
