'Supergirl' Season 6 Episode 7: Kara learns about Lena's plans even as she battles a formidable new threat in 'Tremors'

The previous episode 'Confidence Women' dealt with the origins of Acrata and it remains to be seen if she teams up with Kara eventually to thwart Lena's plans of 'fixing' humanity and the Leviathan

The 'Crisis' may be looming large, but before it hits National City, Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) has the deadly and mysterious Leviathan to sort out. Each of the six episodes that have aired so far has given bits and pieces of information about the criminal organization.

According to the synopsis and the promo released by The CW ahead of Episode 7, it looks like Kara will discover some shocking secrets and one of them may have something to do with the Leviathan and Lena.

The official synopsis reads: "SOMETIMES THE PERSON YOU WOULD TAKE A BULLET FOR IS STANDING BEHIND THE TRIGGER – Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) finally learns the truth about Lena (Katie McGrath) while tangling with Leviathan."

"J’onn J’onnz (David Harewood) makes a discovery about his brother's whereabouts. Andi Armaganian directed the episode written by J. Holtham & Katie Rose Rogers," the synopsis adds.

While the preview video sees the girl of steel fight a new threat, she will also be learning about the threats incoming in the form of Lena and the Leviathan.

The previous episode 'Confidence Women' dealt with the origins of Acrata and it remains to be seen if she teams up with Kara eventually to thwart Lena's plans of "fixing" humanity and the Leviathan.

The previous season ended with Lena feeling bitter about the betrayal. The new footage shows her making plans to hurt Kara. "I'm not a villain," Lena says in a voiceover narration.

"I don't want to kill Supergirl. I just want her to experience the same hurt she inflicted on me. Soon enough, she will." Benoist had earlier teased a dark turn for Lena during the San Diego Comic-Con: "This season's going to be a fight for Lena's soul,” Benoist said.

'Supergirl' airs on Sundays at 9 pm on The CW.
