'Supergirl' Season 5 Episode 10 official synopsis teases chaos for Kara even after 'Crisis on Infinite Earths'

There are still two more chapters of 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' remaining. However, the Arrowverse has already begun preparations for life post the multiverse-shattering battle. The CW released the official synopsis for Episode 10 and it pits Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) into action straight after the battle against the Anti-Monitor (LaMonica Garrett).

The synopsis reads: "MEAGHAN RATH GUEST STARS – The subsequent complications from the 'Crisis' leave Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) to face a chaotic threat. Tawnia McKiernan directed the episode with story by Derek Simon and teleplay by Nicki Holcomb & Jen Troy."

At the moment, it is fair to assume that Kara's biggest foe will be Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer) who has managed to become a Paragon in the ongoing battle. There are plenty of supervillains the Girl of Steel has to fend off even if Lex doesn't make it out after 'Crisis'.

For starters, the Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) threat still looms large. Add to this the Atlantean duo — Rama Khan (Mitch Pileggi) and Gamemnea (Cara Buono) — who showed up just before the epic battle. That storyline with the Leviathan is yet to be completely explained and Episode 10 may just be the start tying up loose ends.

With Meaghan Rath mentioned in the synopsis, there is also a possibility that the storyline might see the actor who essays Brainy, play a pivotal role. Last we saw, he was one of the casualties during 'Crisis'.

For now, Kara who was named as the 'Paragon of Hope' is trapped with the remaining six Paragons in the Vanishing Point and the final episodes of 'Crisis' will see her battle it out with the Anti-Monitor. While she was one of the prominent deaths in the comic version of the battle, the Kara in the TV version will be one of the survivors and a hero playing an instrumental role in taking down the cosmic entity.

'Supergirl' will return with Episode 10 on January 19 on The CW. 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' will conclude on January 14.
