'Sunbae, Don't Put on That Lipstick' Episode 2 Comic Spoilers: Soon-ah finds out the truth about Jae-sin cheating
Popular K-drama 'Sunbae, Don't Put on That Lipstick', which has been titled 'She Would Never Know', in Episode 2 sees Soon-ah (Won Jin-ah) come to the decision that it is time to make her relationship with Lee Jae-sin (Lee Hyun-wook), the Branch Manager that she works with at office public. However, Jae-sin seems to have been cheating her, as we saw him visit a wedding dress boutique with his fiance in the first episode. So will he accept?
Soon-ah's junior Hyun-seung (Ro Woon), someone who happens to have been in love with her since the moment that he had met her and he happens to be the one to have seen Jae-sin with his fiance because of the boutique that he had visited belonged to his sister. At the end of Episode 1, he had tried to get Soon-ah to visit the boutique at the same time that her boyfriend would, but she was more offended about him having found out about her secret relationship. However, that doesn't stop her from getting to know the truth or attempting to find out if Jae-sin really does like her or not.
She in fact gives him an ultimatum and surprisingly he asks her to give him some time to sort things out. Is he considering breaking up with his fiance? This might lead to him losing his position at KLAR, and we don't think that Jae-sin would be open to losing his position for love. On the other hand, we also see how Hyun-seung is also suffering because he is not only rejected by his first love, but she is unaware of how she is being cheated on by her boyfriend. When she does learn the truth, it gets hard for her but the one that she does lash out at is Hyun-seung because he was the one who had told her the truth in the first place.
She tries her best to believe that what she has learned about the man that she had thought of marrying was not the trash that her junior wants her to believe he is, so she tries to shut him down and even gives Jae-sin the benefit of doubt. This is also what we believe triggers the protective instincts within Hyun-seun who tells his 'Sunbae' (Senior) not to wear the lipstick that she usually does before she meets her boyfriend. That is his way of telling her to not choose her boyfriend and that is where 'Sunbae, Don't Put on That Lipstick' comes from.
'She Would Never Know' is a tv adaptation of the webcomic 'Sunbae, Geu Lipstick Bareujimayo' which literally means 'Sunbae, Don't Put on That Lipstick' and it airs every Monday and Tuesday on JTBC. The show can also be streamed on iQiyi.
