'Stumptown' Episode 6 will see Dex track down Grey and we hope it leads to a team-up with Hoffman in the future
After an excruciatingly long two weeks, ABC is airing a new episode of 'Stumptown' just when we were tired of the wait.
Last week, ABC aired a one-hour special documentary 'Harry and Meghan: African Journey' at the same time slot as 'Stumptown' because of which we are yet to learn if Grey (Jake Johnson) is safe or not.
As we saw in the previously aired episode five, Grey's past is coming back to haunt him, and he is being held hostage by some dangerous people, who want to puppeteer him into doing their bidding.
We know that he turned down Hoffman's (Michael Ealy) help when he had the chance, and he may think that it is a little too late to knock on that door now.
We know that Hoffman is a good man and is personally invested in the matter and wants to arrest Wallace Kane (Colin Cunningham) — the man who holds Grey hostage.
So he hires the best PI in Stumptown to save Grey — Dex (Cobie Smulders). A seemingly reformed Artie (Donal Logue) has given documented 100 hours of apprenticeship out of guilt, so now she can actually become an actual Private Investigator.
This also allows her to legally take on the missing person's case Hoffman gives her in the upcoming episode. Obviously, she wants to save Grey for her own reasons as well.
From the trailer for the episode, titled 'Bad Alibies', it is clear that she is leaving no stones unturned to find him and it is only a matter of time before she does.
Once she does, though, we hope Grey and Hoffman can actually get off on the right foot and potentially work together in the future. We are aching for a bromance on 'Stumptown', and Hoffman and Grey may be the answer.
