Dex Parios (Cobie Smulders), who spent a large number of years trying to contemplate the demise of the love of her life, was faced with a new detail about Benny's death as we saw in the last episode ‘All Quiet on the Dextern Front’.

The intel on Benny's (Lee McHale) death can mean more than just one thing to Dex. It isn't only about getting closure on a tragedy that befell her years ago, but also could expose the misplaced power within the US Military that might have taken Benny’s life, eventually pinning it on Dex.

The official synopsis for 'Stumptown' Episode 7 reads, "Dex's former client Jeremy introduces her to Major Elders who has intel on Benny's death. Dex, suspicious of the information and looking for answers, investigates a potential cover-up involving Benny’s unit in Afghanistan. Elsewhere, Hoffman and his partner, Lee, work closely on a sting operation that shockingly involves a familiar face. Meanwhile, Grey's newfound relationship with his father is tested."

The promo has Dex's unapologetic behavior all over it as the more serious and determined PI sets off on a mission to bring justice to her former lover, or simply to achieve more clarity on her karmic actions.

In the promo, Dex is asked to stop digging questions she isn’t going to find answers to, but she strongly believes there was foul play in Benny's death and is determines about figuring it out.

Meanwhile, a few stills from 'The Dex Files' show Tookie (Adrian Martinez) in a form we've never seen before. The Taco truck owner, who is always goofy and high-spirited, is seen carrying a rather sad face and even crying in one of the pictures.

Perhaps, the time has come for us to witness the less-explored to Tookie which he teased us earlier.

Is Detective Miles Hoffman (Michael Ealy) and Lee's latest sting operation going to show Tookie in a different light? How would any development in Tookie's character impact Ansel Parios (Cole Sibus), who he has grown so close to?

'Stumptown' airs on Wednesdays on ABC.
