Spoilers ahead for Episode 12 of 'Stumptown'

ABC's 'Stumptown' is currently focusing on the individual lives of its characters, and it couldn't have come at a better time!

While Episode 11 saw Dex Parios (Cobie Smulders) take a leap in faith to overcome the profound sorrow in her life, a new case in Episode 12 stirs things up for the PI. An owner of a strip club who identifies herself as Ginger approaches Dex to help her find the culprit who has been stealing the club money.

Although a couple of hunky strippers spark some interest in Dex with their moves, she chooses to stay professional by not getting into their pants.

However, things get personal when Dex chooses to keep the identity of the men involved in the stealing of the club discreet, sympathizing with the employees who were subjected to Ginger's ruthlessness.

The PI’s approach, however, doesn’t please Ginger, who goes about accusing her of Ansel Parios (Cole Sibus) estranged behavior saying she has issues of abandonment. Maybe, Dex could have still dealt with the unpleasantness by drowning herself in alcohol like she always does.

But, she’s faced with a new threat when Ginger files a case against her Dex for trying to sleep with the employees of the club and drinking during work hours.

Although Dex finds herself helpless for a brief moment, with the help of a short session of counseling, she decides to fight against her enemy rather than lose hopes already.

When Dex files a case against Ginger for creating a hostile working environment for her employees and harassing them, the latter agrees to drop the complaint, to save her business.

Meanwhile, Grey McConnell (Jake Johnson) and Miles Hoffman (Michael Ealy) have only a day to find a buyer for nearly 20 kilos of drugs that Max and gang are trying to push, else, they’ll fail to bust their operation.

Given Miles' distrust in his fellow officers and Grey's confidence in his best friend's skills, Dex comes across as their only viable option. The duo approaches her with an offer to serve as an undercover in their ongoing investigation.

Now that 'Dirty Dexy Money' has teased with a possibility with our favorite trio joining hands for a case, we couldn't wait to witness their misadventures as they set off on a mission.

However, it remains to be seen if Dex is willing to work with Miles and Grey, considering all that's gone down between them throughout the season.

'Stumptown' airs on Wednesdays on ABC.
