'You are just a lying, drug-stealing thief,' Miller says in an accusatory tone. Fans are confused about the reason behind their beef

Good news! Robert Sullivan (Boris Kodjoe) is back at Station 19 after an excruciating trial. “If I lose my career today, I don’t think I’ll be able to stay clean,” Sullivan told Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr) before the hearing. Guess now he doesn't need to resort to drugs any more. To make sure her husband was acquitted, Andy Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz) spoke to Maya Bishop (Danielle Savre) and Ben Warren (Jason George) about whether they would speak at the hearing.

Although Ben had made it clear that he will spill the truth and he did so, he later joined the firefighters led by Maya as they spoke in favor of Sullivan. Fighting for their Battalion Chief, they all said in unison, “He’s one of us... one of the good ones.” Hinting at how the entire country had a drug problem, Ben said, “Losing a damn good firefighter is not justice.” When the verdict was finally announced, Sullivan was stripped of his title but he was back! “I’m still a firefighter, but… I’m no longer your battalion chief,” he exclaimed.

Now, while Sullivan is back with the team, he seems to have a beef with Dean Miller (Okieriete Onaodowan) in the next episode. A 30-second promo for the fourth episode ‘Don't Look Back in Anger’ shows Miller making faces while Sullivan returns to the squad. "Is there a problem between us?" Sullivan asks Miller. He snaps back, "You are not the boss of me, man. Not gonna answer you." Sullivan then strongly responds, "If there's something you want to say, just say it."

"You are just a lying, drug-stealing thief," Miller says in an accusatory tone. When Sullivan counters his argument saying, "I was injured, Miller," he tells him, "And you are about to be injured again, Robert, if you don't get out of my face. The summary of the episode reads: "The team responds to a difficult domestic dispute involving a pregnant woman. Meanwhile, Travis struggles to deal with a family crisis, and Maya and Carina’s relationship continues to grow."

Fans are confused about their beef and can't stop wondering what could be the reason. "Hold on. Why does Miller have beef with Sullivan?? Did I miss something?!?" one fan said and another posted, "I'm lost, why is miller mad at Sullivan?" A third chimed in, "Am I missing something?? Why is Miller so hostile towards Sullivan all of a sudden?"

Now we don't know whether it's just because Sullivan lost his position or if they had a bitter past. Moreover, getting angry over his addiction issues doesn't make sense now as Miller didn't say anything when it first happened. What do you think the reason could be?
