After 'Station 19' made its comeback with the 'Grey's Anatomy' crossover, Episode 2 might shed more light on the character's separate lives. The last season saw a lot of ups and downs. Several characters hooked up but they all seem to have broken up by the end of the first episode.

Andrea Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz) and Robert Sullivan (Boris Kodjoe) had a major tiff after the latter refused a relationship just for his promotion.

Moreover, Maya Bishop (Danielle Savre) dumped Jack Gibson (Grey Damon) for literally no reason at all. There might be more focus on Ben Warren's (Jason George) work-life separate from Bailey.

Where will the relationships go as more episodes roll out? Through this season, more backstories of the firefighters may be revealed. In a combined promo with 'Grey's Anatomy', a few scenes from the next episode can be seen and a major highlight is the introduction of the new Seattle fire chief!

Titled 'Indoor Fireworks', the summary of the next episode reads: "The new Seattle fire chief is introduced to Station 19 and leaves the crew skeptical after his visit."

It continues: "Later, the firefighters are called to a department store fire caused by exploding fireworks, which triggers painful memories from Ben’s past and inspires him to pursue a new endeavor."

"Maya advocates for herself and her career, while Jack becomes more intertwined with an acquaintance; and Andy and Ryan have a heart-to-heart," the summary adds.

Most fans are pretty excited about the new season. "It makes sense that they played Station 19 before Grey's Anatomy tonight... if you think about it, Grey ended with the crash, Station 19 are the first responders... it technically picked up right where it left off!" one viewer wrote.

Another said, "Andy and Sullivan have more chemistry in their pinkie fingers than Vic and Jackson whole relationship. Let's stop this nonsense now!!!" One tweet read, "I find Maya dumping Jack personally offensive."

Directed by Paris Barclay and written by Kiley Donovan, the next episode will air on Thursday, January 30.
