'Start-Up' from the beginning had pitted sisters Won In-jae and Seo Dal-mi as the former chose to leave the family with her mother and take on the family name of her stepfather while the latter remained with her struggling father. There is no right or wrong choice here as each of their choices led them own different paths with pros and cons. However, what we did not expect is to see is In-jae attempt to look down on her sister and her choice in order to make herself feel better. For all the success, the privilege that In-jae had enjoyed for the majority of her life, she was not happy and had always doubted if she had made the right choice.

So when she saw Dal-mi working multiple part-time jobs to make ends meet all while dreaming about starting up her own company, In-jae feels better about the choice that she had made of abandoning her sister and her father for an easier life. She also tries to convince Dal-mi of the mistake that she had made, but when Dal-mi remains steadfast and says that she has no regrets of choosing her father over an easier life, In-jae is disturbed. Which is why she attempts to use any given opportunity to prove to Dal-mi that she was wrong. In that vein, she had tried to tell Dal-mi the same for choosing to be the CEO of Samsan tech in episode 6 as well. However, none of that worked and now, it looks like she has a new approach.

According to the end of episode promo released for episode 7, In-jae directs Seo Dal-mi to her stepfather despite knowing the kind of businessman he is and even taunts Dal-mi as she asks her if she will give up on yet another opportunity. Dal-mi seems to take the bait because we see her arrive at In-jae's stepfather's doorstep along with Do-san to ask for investment. However, what she hadn't expected was for this man to bring up their personal lives and tell to Dal-mi's face that she should have made the same choice as her sister if she didn't want to regret the sad life that she had led so far.

Dal-mi is shaken and seems unable to respond when Do-san steps in and tells the rich dude with all the money to shut up. That's right. Do-san in an emotional moment ends up lashing out at the investor who could have helped their company in their journey. Now, what we want to know really is how Han Ji-pyeong would react to this news and when In-jae's truth will surface within Sandbox.

'Start-Up' will air on tvN on Saturdays and Sundays at 9 pm KST, and can be streamed on Netflix in the US.
