Spoilers for 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' Season 7 Episode 5 'Gone With A Trace'

A new episode of 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' is here and it brings back fan-favorite former Jedi Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein). Season 7 Episode 5 'Gone With A Trace' kicks off a brand new story arc that follows Ahsoka's adventures after quitting the Jedi Order at the end of Season 5.

Featuring a pair of brand-new characters and a demolition droid, the episode takes the action down to the lower levels of Coruscant, providing a grungy, street-level view of the franchise's world. Fans have taken to social media to discuss the episode and some of the reactions are overwhelmingly positive.

"Clone wars episode was well shot, new characters and droid designs were great," one fan wrote on Twitter. "And not to mention Ahsoka’s look was fantastic, love the shows new animation/graphics. Great episode to start off with the return of Ahsoka."

"I loved episode 5 of #clonewars," another fan tweeted. "Yea, it wasn't as action-packed, but I love the slower episodes that focus on character. Very cinematic and I love seeing lower levels of Coruscant."

But not all the reactions were as positive. In fact, quite a few fans absolutely hated the episode.

"Literally nothing happened in that episode of #TheCloneWars hot trash smh," one such fan tweeted. "The change of tone from episodes 4 to 5 makes 5 not even feel like clone wars anymore, juts pre empire rebels. Disney ruins something again."

"'Gone with a Trace' may have been the biggest waste of time ever," another fan declared. "It was nice to be reintroduced to Ahsoka, but aside from that it felt like wasted time. The new characters were fine but the entire episode just seemed like a lot of filler. Could have been better #CloneWars"

Then again, there were those who, like Ahsoka, chose to find the middle ground. One of those fans wrote, "Decent new episode of #CloneWars. Great seeing Ahsoka back & I liked the 2 sister characters, as well as the more grounded feel & the lower Coruscant setting, but after how spoiled we were last week I just wanted a little more. Still good though, if unspectacular."

"Was nice seeing Ahsoka again in The Clone Wars," another fan tweeted. "I have a feeling some might find this episode too slow for their liking, but this is meant to be more to establish where Ahsoka's life is currently at and introducing the Martez sisters so I kind of get why it's like this."
