Contains spoilers for Season 2 Episode 4 of 'Star Wars: Resistance'

Life on the Colossus has not been easy for anyone, lost as they are in space without a safe harbor. Things come to a head this episode, as Aunt Z (Tovah Feldshuh) calls Captain Doza (Jason Hightower) out on the station's lack of supplies.

It's hard to run a Cantina without food, after all. Captain Doza struggles to keep the crew of the Colossus together, as Aunt Z declares she's leaving the starship if more food supplies can't be found.

Pirate captain Kragan Gorr (Gary Anthony Williams) senses that there lies an opportunity here to undermine Captain Doza on his own ship.

Fortunately for Captain Doza, Kazz (Christoper Sean) and Torra (Myrna Velasco) are there to do whatever it takes to keep Aunt Z from leaving.

Aunt Z says that the giant manta ray-like creature that the aces escaped from last episode has enough meat on it to feed an entire ship — at least for long enough for her not to leave the Colossus.

Overhearing this, Kragan offers the services of his pirate crew, to keep the ship fed where Captain Doza has failed to. Aunt Z agrees, and Captain Doza approves Kazz and Torra for the mission — it's Aces vs Pirates to be the first ones to take the creature down!

The space battles of 'Star Wars: Resistance' have always been engaging, but the addition of a giant, white manta monster against the backdrop of an icy wasteland is something special.

It's not the smoothest of battles, though. The pirates are generally a formidable fighting force, but Kragan's pride, and refusal to listen to Kazuda's advice leads to the pirates almost being wiped out and both the Aces and the pirates are forced into a retreat.

Back on the Colossus, Kragan manages to turn the story around, blaming the Aces for getting in his way. Either way, the ship is without food, and Aunt Z begins packing.

Forced to take desperate measures, Kazz and Torra fix up a defunct laser cannon and head back down to Celsor-3 to try again.

What follows is a series of minor disasters as everything that can go wrong, does go wrong. From the stowaway pet, to losing said pet, to the laser cannon losing its battery and pirates stealing Kazz and Torra's ships, it's a wonder the Aces make it out alive.

They do more than just that, however, as the laser cannon is just what's needed to take the beast down.

As the crew of the Colossus enjoys a fresh roast, Captain Doza steps up and reaffirms his responsibility to keep the crew of the Colossus safe.

'Hunt on Celsor-3' is a light-hearted detour from the main plot of 'Star Wars: Resistance', and a good look at how fragile tensions aboard the ship are.

Things may have stabilized for the moment, but scavenging food from a large monster is a temporary fix, at best. With Kragan's eye on any opportunity he can grab, Captain Doza's leadership is in a shaky position until the Colossus' situation changes soon.

Noticeably absent was Tam (Suzie McGrath) and her experiences with the First Order. The show has so far split viewpoints between the crew of the Colossus and the First Order's pursuit.

A Colossus-centric show may just mean a First Order only episode may be next, which is certainly something to look forward to.

The next episode of 'Star Wars Resistance' titled 'The Engineer' airs on Sunday, November 3, at 10 pm on The Disney Channel.
