'Star Trek: Picard' returns in a couple of hours with a new episode, titled 'Stardust City Rag'.

In the previous episode, we saw the newly assembled team stop at the planet Vashti, where Picard encountered some Romulans who were still furious with him for resigning from Starfleet years ago and leaving a majority of their race to die during the Supernova.

In the latest episode, the team will hunt for Bruce Maddox (an important member from 'Star Trek: The Next Generation'), a man who had almost wanted to disassemble Picard's close friend Data (Brent Spine) once for his experiments, as he didn't believe that androids could possess any sort of human qualities.

It had taken a phenomenal court scene to make him change his ideas.

In'Star Trek: Picard', the veteran captain had encountered Dahj (Isa Briones), who had been killed promptly. Turns out, she is Data's "daughter", and she has a "sister" named Soji. They were created by Maddox through the process of fractal cloning.

Maddox "grew" them from Data's neurons, which he acquired from the body of B-4, Data's android "brother". They were created in probable defiance after the Federation banned artificial life-forms after rogue androids attacked Mars in 2285.

Maddox had gone into hiding after this and built Soji and Dahj in secret. The Romulan terror squad called Zhat Vash believes that Maddox built more synthetics and wanted to use Soji to track them down.

The synopsis of the new episode reads, "The La Sirena crew begins an unpredictable and lively expedition on Freecloud to search for Bruce Maddox. When they learn that Maddox has found himself in a precarious situation, a familiar face offers her assistance."

Seven Of Nine (Jeri Ryan) is back. Loyal Trekkies would remember her crucial role in 'Voyager'. Her real name was Annika Hansen before she was assimilated by Borgs.

'Star Trek: Picard' airs on CBS All Access on Thursdays at 12.01 am.
