SNL is set to bring Scarlett Johansson to the show and people are already counting down the days until she performs.

Many are already trying to figure out what role the star would be performing. While some think that Johansson would talk about or portray Ivanka Trump, quite a few others want her to "play a tree".

The bizarre wish comes after Johansson defended her being cast as a transgender man in the upcoming film 'Rub & Tug' and her whitewashed character in 'Ghost in the Shell'.

Johansson said political correctness might be hurting the art and the film industry.

"You know, as an actor, I should be able to play any person, or any tree, or any animal, because that's my job and the requirements of my job," Johansson recently told As If magazine.

The actress said that everyone should have the freedom to play any part they want and that every filmmaker should have the right to chose their cast.

"I feel like [political correctness is] a trend in my business and it needs to happen for various social reasons, yet there are times it does get uncomfortable when it affects the art because I feel art should be free of restrictions. I think society would be more connected if we just allowed others to have their feelings and not expect everyone to feel the way we do.”

Ever since she made the comment, people have been wishing that she actually makes this come true on her SNL skit.

One fan wrote, "If @nbcsnl doesn't have Scarlett Johansson just play a goddamn silent tree this week, I don't think I can ever Snyder Cut this show."

Another wrote, "I would have so much respect for @nbcsnl & #ScarlettJohansson if they did a skit in which she plays a TREE in light of her ignorant, out of touch comments re: Hollywood's #whitewashing issue. Show us you have a good sense of humor Scarlett! #FreeToBeATree #SNL."

Looking at the past skits done by the actress, it wouldn't be a surprise that she comes out on the stage dressed as a tree.

Johansson will reportedly be joined by Niall Horan on the show.
