'Sister Wives': Kody struggles with plural marriage after the wives turn down his idea of one home
For a long time, Kody Brown tried to convince his sister wives to move into one house but the idea was scrapped by everyone. All four of them said they would have problems living under the same roof and the main reason was privacy.
The sister wives thought that the idea of one house would make them conscious about how they behaved in the house and they added that this would take away their freedom. Ever since Kody had to give up on this idea, things have not been great for him.
In the February 23 episode, Kody confessed that he had been struggling to understand his wives and with the idea of plural marriage itself. Kody hinted that the idea of plural marriage he had in mind was different from the situation they were currently in. Kody reflected on the marriage his parents had and wanted to have something similar.
He revealed that their difference of opinion had been the main reason why things were falling apart. He admitted that he might have taken their refusal to move into one house personally. Kody always wanted to have a house where all the children could be under the same roof and the families would not be staying far apart from each other.
He thought that this would allow him to spend equal time with everyone while also organizing spontaneous events. In Kody's opinion, a plural family that is happy with one another can easily stay together. This was his thought when he decided to pursue the idea of one house.
However, he started doubting his marriage and the relationship the wives shared. He further revealed that he was happy with his life and happy with his wives but every time they rejected the idea of one house, he thought that it was contradicting the idea he had in mind.
Even though Kody is certain he can point out the wives who are happy in the plural marriage and who are not, he decided to be tight-lipped about it in the hopes that things would get better.
'Sister Wives' airs on Sundays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
