Horde Prime (Keston John) and his fleet have found Etheria, now vulnerable to his attack. She-Ra's (Aimee Carrero) sword has been broken, seemingly cutting Adora from being able to transform into She-Ra. Things have never looked worse for Etheria, and with the series coming to an end in Season 5, the stakes have never been higher. Stay tuned to this page for everything you need to know about 'She-Ra and the Princesses of Power' Season 5.

Release date

'She-Ra and the Princess of Power' Season 5 will release on Netflix on May 15.

Plot

Last season, after being manipulated by Light Hope (Morla Gorrondona), She-Ra was forced to destroy the sword that gave her her powers. Light Hope was able to return Etheria to the wider universe, however, right in the midst of Hordak Prime's army. Hordak Prime now has all he needs to capture Etheria in his goal of universal conquest, and there's no longer a She-Ra available to stop him. According to an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Noelle Stephenson said, "Going into Season 5, our board has been wiped clean a little bit. It has been a self-contained world in a self-contained struggle, where the sides of dark and light seemed well-defined at the beginning. But immediately those lines started getting blurred: Characters switched sides, characters who you thought were evil became good and good became evil, and then we started questioning what good and evil even means here."

Cast

Aimee Carrero ('Elena of Avalor', 'The Village') voices the series protagonist, Adora. She is joined in the Best Friend Squad by Karen Fukuhara ('The Boys', 'Suicide Squad') as Glimmer and Macus Scribner ('Black-ish') as Bow.

The series also stars AJ Michalka ('The Goldbergs', 'Schooled') as Catra, Adora's former best friend and current worst enemy. She works for the Horde most closely with Scorpia, voiced by Lauren Ash ('Superstore', 'Another Period'), under the leadership of Hordak, voiced by Keston John ('Avengers Assemble', 'In the Dark').

The series was developed for television by Noelle Stephenson, who also acts as showrunner and writer for the series. Stevenson is widely known for the fantasy comic 'Nimona' and the comics series 'Lumberjanes' and has won an Eisner award for each.
