It also included a photo of him with his famous father. The 23-year-old captioned the emotional share as “1 year ago today Miss you mate, love Jacko ❤️.”

The elder daughter of Shane and Simone’s post was an adorable video of her as a child playing around with her dad. Brooke wrote, “I love you Dad, I will always remember us this way, laughing & happy. 1 year today, feels like yesterday you were taken but forever since I’ve seen you. I miss your big hugs so much & you telling me everything is okay, life will never be the same without you Dad, I miss you 🤍 💔😞 Forever our shining star 🤍⭐️💫.”

‘I’m still trying to navigate life’

The youngest of all, Summer chose to write a long note in memory of Shane while holding a photo of him in the first slide of the post, while the second one showed a childhood version of her with her dad. The 20-year-old penned, “1 year ago, one of the people that I love most in the whole entire world left and went to heaven 🤍 My beautiful dad 🤍 I miss you just about every second of every day.”

“I’m still trying to navigate life without you here, trying my best to live in a world without you in it. I miss you when I laugh and cry because you were always the one that made my laughter grow, and my tears disappear. I miss the memories we will never get to have. I hold you close within my heart, and there you shall remain, until the day that we meet again. I love you. SJ 🤍,” she added.

'A never-ending nightmare'

Shane was 52 and on a boys’ trip on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand in March last year when he died because of a heart attack, reports at the time had said. Also, his parents, Keith and Brigitte Warne, issued a statement, noting, “The night of the 4th of March 2022 is when a never-ending nightmare began for our family, for that is the date we lost our much loved and admired son, father, brother, and Uncle, 'Shane Keith Warne' a tragedy we will never come to terms with."
