Streaming platform giant Netflix seems to be taking the phrase 'Netflix and chill' pretty seriously when it comes to their latest content. The streaming platform has released several sex-centric movies, documentaries, and even shows. Netflix's latest special 'Sex: Unzipped' hosted by rapper Saweetie falls under the same category. After entertaining the world with her wildly popular Icy University series on YouTube, the 'Best Friend' rapper took over Netflix to promote sex-positivity with help from expert educators, candid stand-ups and uninhibited puppets.

The 60-minute special featured Saweetie alongside sex experts like Alexander Cheves, Emily Morse, Oloni, and Stella Sonnenbaum, a crew of sex-positive puppets, and television personalities and stand-up comics like Dominique Jackson, Ian Karmel, Joel Kim Booster, Katherine Ryan, London Hughes, Mae Martin, Michelle Buteau, Nikki Glaser, Romesh Ranganathan, Sam Jay, and Trixie Mattel, busting some of the biggest myths, misconceptions, and experiences when it comes to sex and identity. Although 'Sex: Unzipped' was extremely fun and informative, fans, unfortunately, weren't entirely convinced with the content of the special.

At the beginning of the special Saweetie explained that according to statistics, the pandemic caused a significant dip in libido and that for 50% of people the pandemic was a major 'vibe killer'. The rapper also added that we were in a 'sex drought' like situation and encouraged the audience to use the special as a refresher course to 'rehab your sex drive'.

The audience found it hard to believe her claims that we were in 'sex drought'. Several fans commented on Netflix's Instagram page questioning her claims. A user wrote, "A sex drought? All I see online these days is ppl f***in." Another user commented, "The pandemic created a drought? Says who? For who? Interesting." "Lockdown a major vibe killer? Have u seen the amount of pregnant people?" questioned a user. Another user pointed out, "Drought? I've known more people having babies than pre pandemic." "Are you sure those statistics are correct .. all the pandemic babies say other wise lol," joked a user.

Many users also slammed Netflix for releasing a lot of sex-related content on its platform in the recent past. A user shared, "Like y’all really became the new p*rn." "For the love of god Netflix move past sex there are things other than sex people like I can assure you," expressed a user. Another user echoed similar thoughts with, "Netflix, Netflix, Netflix not everything in life is about sex, we eat, drink, travel, work. It's not all about sex." "How many sex shows are you adding Netflix?? This is ridiculous and very uncalled for," observed a user. "Netflix is the new pornhub," declared a user.

'Sex: Unzipped' is available for streaming on Netflix.
