Since Ola (Patricia Allison) broke up with Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) in Episode 5 of 'Sex Education', Otis has been carrying a lot of anger within him. He keeps going back to how Ola called him uptight.

One of the reasons Ola had broken up with Otis was his confusion over Maeve Wiley (Emma Mackey). She also told Otis that the two of them were too different to be together and explained that she likes to be impulsive, but Otis is definitely not.

Just to prove her wrong, Otis plans a "small get-together" at his place and invites Lily, Eric Effiong (Ncuti Gatwa) and his boyfriend Rahim. Jackson, on the other hand, finds out that it is time for his cast to be removed and is not too happy about returning to swimming practice.

He can feel the pressure that his mother has begun to put on him already. It has just been minutes and she begins to talk about training and getting back in form to compete.

His mothers have also begun to argue again because of his training and so, all the joy that he had felt recently while he was away from practice vanishes. This pressure builds back so quick and so strong that Jackson tries to harm himself again.

Otis' "small gathering" becomes huge after the Untouchables are wooed into attending the same because of Rahim. Otis, who doesn't expect to see these many people is further surprised to find out that Maeve is invited.

To rub his new "chill" persona in Ola's face, Otis also sends her a text and asks her to drop by and pick her stuff up but doesn't invite her to the party. He also ends up drinking a lot of alcohol to calm his nerves about the party.

Things really build to a crescendo at this party because it is here that Jackson comes up with the idea of punching his hand through a mirror to find an excuse from skipping training. He hurt himself the first time around to get away from his mother's restricting plans.

Now, he hopes to repeat the same to get the pressure to stop. Only, he is interrupted by Vivian, who was assigned to tutor him in academics while he was off the swimming team to keep his grades up.

The two had become friends, and in a moment of weakness, Jackson shares everything about the pressure building within him to her and when Vivian understands this, she quotes statistics in the hopes of pushing him to take professional help.

Jackson is beyond annoyed because Vivian continues to quote numbers and percentages when he is trying hard to express his feelings. He lashes out at her and calls her a robot who cannot make friends.

Meanwhile, Otis turns out to be a crazy drunk person. Despite Eric trying to stop him from drinking further, he continues to chug alcohol straight from the bottle and after having lost all inhibitions he addresses everyone at his party to explain how both Ola and Maeve do not deserve to be a part of his life.

He says that Ola did not understand what it took for him to be loyal despite liking someone else (Maeve in this case) and he tells Maeve she is the most selfish person for confessing her feelings at a time when everything was going right for him. He also takes offense to Maeve bringing another boy with her to his party.

He is drunk out of his mind and with the speech where he emptied all his thoughts without filtering them, Otis empties all the pressure that had built up within him over the days since Maeve confessed to him.

Both Jackson and Otis did something they wouldn't have done if not for a moment of weakness and Jackson is clearly in for a big surprise. Despite telling Vivian that his parents will not understand his feelings or the pressure that he feels, she ends up visiting them and telling them the truth about Jackson's hand injury.

Otis, on the other hand, might have lost his virginity to one of the Untouchables in his drunken haze. Might have, because all we see is his mother Jean arriving after a crazy night out of her own to find Otis, naked and in bed with another girl.

'Sex Education' Season 2 can be streamed on Netflix from January 17.
